Paradox Posted May 29, 2019 Report Share Posted May 29, 2019 I see on SSN tonight that Hibs have announced that they won't be entering a team into next season's SPFL Reserve League, as they don't think its helping with the development of the players. Instead, they're going to arrange games against teams in Scotland, England and abroad, as well as sending players out on loan to clubs in the Championship, League 1 and League 2 in Scotland. Glad to see a team take a positive stand for the benefit of their young players. Maybe we can get one or two in on loan? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The whole idea behind this was to make it competitive but also to try and recreate the secnario where you had quite a few old heads in there too to give them experience of playing with and against first team players. If our Reserves are anything to go by, that hasn't happened as the majority of our team is U19 this coming season so they are playing with the same guys, against guys their age, and aren't really being pushed in the way it was intended.
