Teuchter
Innovative but utterly ruthless, he enabled the fabled excesses of the 1970s music industry by diverting the huge profits of record companies towards the artists (and hangers on). There is some uncomfortable reading in the book. Being closer to the punk generation, I was never in awe of the decadence of the early 70s. Recent welcome changes in social attitudes make some of the behaviour seem even more of an aberration, but the music still stands up. On balance an entertaining read and scarcely believable at times.

Al k
I forgot that was the managers name. Saw a good documentary a while back. Can't remember if it was sky arts or BBC 4.

Just like a Peter Grant that we have the misfortune to know.
