Whoever came up with this idea, I hope they get ass-joyed by a swordfish after fighting an angry honey badger in a no-quit UFC match that lasts 90 minutes. Busting ghosts is very obviously a male's job as has been proven in previous films, cartoons and action figures. However, I think casting Melissa McCarthy as Slimer is a great decision.
