  1. Dunfermline Athletic Disabled Supporters' Club (DADSC) is delighted to offer a new and simple way to contribute to our work, using a bank debit or credit card. We have teamed up with FIFEpay and the card processor Stripe so that you can use a bank debit or credit card to make a donation, to update your annual subscription or to pay for items bought from DADSC. Just use the QR code or the Card Payment link below. Easy-peasy! https://fifepay.co.uk/checkout/dadsc-card-payment
  2. I really, really hope I'm wrong and will be gutted if I'm right, but I just don't see Scotland qualifying from that group. Yes, we'll be hard to beat, but McTominay can't keep scoring to compensate for the lack of a top class striker. 2 points. Draws against Germany and Switzerland, defeat by Hungary (plus crowd trouble from the Hungarisn fans). I don't think Steve Clarke will be asking me to give the team talks ...
  3. Thanks to everyone who has nominated DADSC. Still time to do so, it`ll take you less than a minute.
  4. Ecclesiastical Insurance, part of the Benefact Group, operates a Movement for Good scheme donating some of their profits to charity. Starting on Friday 1 December they will be running a "12 Days of Christmas" draw - every day 10 charities will receive £1000 each. The more entries a charity has, the greater the chance of winning £1000. You can nominate whichever charity you want to, but if you care to nominate Dunfermline Athletic Disabled Supporters' Club (DADSC) that would be very much appreciated. (Note that it is one nomination per person per charity.) To nominate DADSC, please use the form at THIS LINK - it's partly completed and all you have to do is enter your own details and press the "Nominate this Charity" button. It's free to enter, please do so before Friday 1 December to ensure that DADSC is in every daily draw. Thank you. Any prize money received will go to the First Floor Access Fund.
  5. In the interests of transparency, the Trustees' Report & Accounts for Dunfermline Athletic Disabled Supporters' Club (DADSC) is published every year on the DADSC website. The document for the year ending 31 March 2023 can be seen here: https://dadsc.fife.net/pdf/DADSC_2022-2023_Report_and_Accounts.pdf DADSC is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation so the Report & Accounts document has also been submitted to the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) and the relevant financial information will eventually appear on the OSCR website. Note that the Report & Accounts only covers events until 31 March 2023.
  6. The AGM of Dunfermline Athletic Disabled Supporters` Club will be held this evening (Wednesday) at 7pm in the Boardroom at KDM Group East End Park. The Agenda has been sent to current members and supporters. It is an open meeting and non-members are welcome to attend in a non-voting capacity. You can also take part via Zoom, and if you want to do so please contact me before 6pm this evening and I will send you the link.
  7. I won't have the exact figure until tomorrow when our Treasurer reports at the DADSC AGM, but we'll be around £70k against our (much-increased) target of £75k. That's about £18k more than we had at this time last year, which is pretty damn good for a bunch of amateurs!
  8. 🖤🤍❤️ A-MAY-ZING!!!!! 🖤🤍❤️ Dunfermline Athletic Disabled Supporters` Club (DADSC) has received £2536 from the Ceroc dance organisation. The Ceroc Scotland Championships were held last month in Edinburgh. Nobody gets paid for the many, many hours of organisation, judging etc and every year a different small Scottish charity benefits from the competitors' entry fees. This year it was DADSC and £2536 will help us enormously in providing a lift and all the ancillary building work for wheelchair users and those with mobility problems to access the function suites at KDM Group East End Park. DADSC thanks everyone in the Ceroc dance community who contributed by organising, attending or taking part. But most of all to Sheena Assiph and her fantastic team for the hours and hours and hours of unpaid work they put into the event every year. If you've never tried Ceroc or don't know what it is, you can watch videos and find your local class on this link - you won't regret it! https://www.ceroc.com/
  9. If your friend gets in touch with the DAFC Disability Access Officer Graham Ross (dao@dafc.co.uk) or myself, John Simpson (secretary@dadsc.fife.net) we'll look into what happened and get a response to him/her. I did notice that a lot of room in the Main carpark was taken up tonight by buses and by the BBC equipment which won't have helped. TBH, the car park stewards are usually very helpful and accommodating to disabled fans arriving by car, and try to find them a space near the stand they will be sitting in. It's sometimes difficult as there are a lot more blue badge holders who attend than there are designated disabled spaces. (As a side issue, I wish more of them would join DADSC and give us a louder voice!)
  10. No, thanks! Uncle Roy's pockets would still be deep enough for County to win the Championship quite easily, so if Pars don't win promotion this season I would rather compete with Livi next season.
  11. TBH, I think that the club does quite well at giving back to the community through a number of activities, particularly through the work being done via the Pars Foundation - some clubs do more, many do less. Lowering prices for the Cup match would benefit those in the community who want to watch a football match, but as SP pointed out, there's a fair chance that it would also lower the club's income and therefore reduce the club's ability to help the community in other ways. There are arguments both ways, it's not clear-cut.
  12. Hopefully Raith will get an extra £6500 from the match, then ...
  13. Unlike some others I actually thought the cup draw was quite an interesting one. The standout matches are the Fife and Glasgow derbies between 4 Championship clubs. But there are also a number of ties where a lower division team is at home and will be looking to cause an upset: Albion Rovers v Bonnyrigg Dunbar v Alloa Peterhead v Ayr QOS v Dundee Utd Stranraer v Airdrie Spartans v Arbroath Tranent v Arbroath
  14. The DADSC Monthly Bulletin for October (No 87) for DADSC was sent out yesterday by email. If you are a DADSC member and have not received it, please check your spam folder, and if Bulletin 87 is not there then let me know by private message. We're also happy to include non-members on the mailing list, so contact me if you would like your name to be added. DADSC Membership only costs £5/year so you might also consider that - just fill in THIS FORM.
  15. Congratulations to Neil and Gillian McKinnon, who were the winners of the DADSC Bonus Ball draw to win the lovely Michael Kors handbag shown in the picture. DADSC thanks everyone who bought a ticket for the draw, which raised £295 for the First Floor Access Fund.
  16. The Bonus Ball in last night's National Lottery was No 46 and the ticket holder who was randomly allocated that number is therefore the winner of the handbag. Congratulations, we'll be in touch later today to arrange delivery. Many thanks to the original donor of the handbag, and to everyone who bought ticket(s) - the total money raised was £295, less a little in card processing fees. All the proceeds go to the DADSC First Floor Access Fund.
  17. All 59 tickets have now been sold, and random numbers allocated to them. An email has been sent out to everyone who has bought one or more ticket(s) - if you have not received it, please let me know. The National Lottery Bonus Ball drawn on Wednesday 4 October will determine who wins the handbag. Many thanks to everyone who has bought a ticket.
  18. Good news - there are only 9 tickets left in the draw to win this lovely handbag, worth over £200. Thank you for all your support. Once the final 9 tickets are sold we'll send out an email to ticket-holders with the randomly-generated number(s) they'll need for the subsequent National Lottery Bonus Ball draw. Tickets (£5 each) can be bought here https://fifepay.co.uk/checkout/dadsc-bonusball-michaelkors All the proceeds will go to the DADSC First Floor Access Fund.
  19. Nearly half the tickets have now been sold, so don't delay - buy yours now (only £5 each, multiple purchases allowed) to have a chance of winning this prize worth over £200. Card Payment Page All money goes to the DADSC fund to get disabled access to the 1st Floor function suites at EEP.
  20. For those who don't know what Alister looks like and who might want to chat to him in a supermarket in future, there's a pic on the DAFC website: https://dafc.co.uk/fc-st-pauli-signed-shirts/?
  21. Note that tickets are now only £5 each. Those who have already paid £10 will be allocated two numbers in the Bonus Ball draw.
  22. TICKETS NOW ONLY £5 EACH! Dunfermline Athletic Disabled Supporters’ Club (DADSC) has received the very generous donation of an electric blue leather Michael Kors handbag. The handbag is effectively brand new as it has never been used and still has the original sale price tag of €225.90 – see pics below. The handbag has a detachable and adjustable strap that can be used over the shoulder or across the body. You could become the owner of this bag yourself, or you could use it as a wonderful Christmas present, by entering a draw based on the National Lottery Bonus Ball. Each entry is £5, and when all 59 slots are taken it will be announced on this thread and each purchaser will be allocated a random number between 1 and 59. On the subsequent National Lottery draw date the winner will be the person whose allocated number matches the Bonus Ball number. All proceeds will go to the DADSC First Floor Access Fund. If you want to take part in the draw then follow the link below to pay £5 and have a chance of winning this beautiful handbag. Card Payment Page Note 1: DADSC reserves the right not to proceed with the draw if (in DADSC’s opinion) insufficient entries have been paid for. In that case, all money paid will be refunded. Note 2: DADSC has had reasonable independent checks carried out on the bag’s authenticity and the price tag of €225.90 is consistent with similar bags on the Michael Kors website. So while DADSC has no reason to doubt the donor that it is an authentic Michael Kors bag, DADSC cannot offer any guarantee on this.
