1. "Playimg devils advocate but whats the point having a supporters liason officer then, as a CEO, liasing with your supporters?" This! Anyway, is the DAFC office not closed on a Monday? If so it's pretty unrealistic to expect the CEO to spend his day responding to individual emails when he will no doubt wish to consult with whoever was involved in the decision-making, and then formulate a considered response. Give the man a break!
2. This seems a very strange decision, and not in keeping with the ethos of a community club that is proud of its heritage and wants to encourage youngsters to feel part of it. Perhaps there's more to it than just bringing in a bit more advertising revenue (which is obviously important), but if so then the narrative should have been controlled much better - as it is, public opinion and the tide of the story is running against the club.
3. I actually thought the DJ was having a problem with the equipment, and was having to re-start it every so often. Whatever it was meant to be, it was dire.
4. Is the match at Lesser or Bigger Hampden?
5. Bidding now closed.SB`s excellent late bid of £128 is the winner, and I`ll be in touch to arrange payment and delivery etc.Thank you to all who took part (and pushed the price up), watch out for more DADSC shirt auctions in coming weeks. All money raised goes to the DADSC fund to provide access to the 1st Floor function suites for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Check us out on https://dadsc.fife.net
6. A late bid of £128 just received from SB. Just 10 minutes or so to go before bidding ends!
7. I've received by email a bid of £100 which is now the leading bid. I know who the bidder is, but he/she wishes to remain anonymous. Bidding closes at 6pm tomorrow (Wednesday).
8. Access to the NW was easy enough in the end, queues weren't bad. However, the steward/scanner at the gate in the NE wouldn't allow any NW ST holders in, despite the DAFC notice saying that was the reason the gate was open. Breakdown in communication, I suppose, but disappointing.. https://www.facebook.com/100076426653575/posts/pfbid0NDF9b6omLw8bAM55tmkCdUi576pTj1aNgMRgo9ZL9FUXDb5EHa2h1tX88v38HXdal/

10. Thanks to the generosity of Pars fan Warren Kemp, DADSC is offering for auction this Paul Allan Ukraine top (size Medium), signed by Paul. Bids can be placed on this thread or by private message to myself. Bidding closes at 6pm on Wednesday 30 August. There is a reserve price of £25 and bids must be in whole pounds. All money received will go to the DADSC fund for improving access to the 1st Floor function suites at EEP for those with mobility problems. The shirt is being advertised elsewhere and I will try to update all threads as to the leading bid, but don`t rely on that - get your best offer in early to stand the best chance of success.
11. The DADSC Monthly Bulletin for August (No 85) for DADSC was sent out yesterday by email. If you are a DADSC member and have not received it, please check your spam folder, and if Bulletin 85 is not there then let me know by private message. We're also happy to include non-members on the mailing list, so contact me if you would like your name to be added. DADSC Membership only costs £5/year so you might also consider that - just fill in THIS FORM.
12. They've done it, finishing at a run! £2000 in direct donations, money still coming in and Gift Aid to be added. Amazing generosity and kindness by so many people, thank you all so much. Of course, even more donations are still very welcome! https://www.justgiving.com/team/teamdancingdivasanddudes
13. The Dancing Divas are now about an hour from the finishing line. I even managed to keep up with them for a few miles, not bad for an old guy just out of hospital! The amazing news is that £2000 has now been given in direct donations (Gift Aid will be added to much of that.) The Divas have no connection with Dunfermline or The Pars, so what they are achieving for DADSC and Pars fans is truly outstanding. They deserve our thanks and encouragement. https://www.justgiving.com/team/teamdancingdivasanddudes?
14. Sheena, Alison and Julie will set off at 9am this morning on their 20-miile Kiltwalk - after dancing until after midnight last night! Over £1900 has now been given in direct donation (Gift Aid will be added to much of it) thanks to an amazing £265 collected at last night`s Ceroc dance in Perth. People have been so kind. The dance community has embraced the efforts to raise money for DADSC - it would be great if the Pars family could take up the baton and push the total well past the £2000 mark. All the money goes into the DADSC fund to get access to the 1st Floor function suites forwheelchair users and those with limited mobility. https://www.justgiving.com/team/teamdancingdivasanddudes?
15. The Divas have now passed the £1600 mark! Add on Gift Aid and the total is getting very near to the £2000 mark. I'm confident that will be reached before the Divas even begin their walk on Sunday. If you've already contributed then thank you on behalf of DADSC. If you haven't already donated, you can still do so at https://www.justgiving.com/team/Teamdancingdivasanddudes Any amount at all is very much appreciated, and the JustGiving "tip" is not compulsory - you can set it at £0 if you want to.
16. Here are the fabulous Dancing Divas (Sheena, Alison and Julie) in the outfits they'll be wearing on Sunday for the 20-mile Kiltwalk in aid of DADSC. Thank you so much for the huge amount raised so far (£1500 + Gift Aid and counting!) Please continue to support the Divas with ANY amount, large or small - it all adds up. https://www.justgiving.com/team/teamdancingdivasanddudes
17. Less than a week until next Sunday morning, when the Dancing Divas (Sheena, Alison and Julie) will start their 20-mile Dundee Kiltwalk, raising funds for DADSC. They`ll be wearing special DADSC T-shirts, and here`s Julie wearing hers. Already, the Ceroc dance community and Pars fans have donated an amazing £1200 in direct donations, with more to be added through Gift Aid. Please continue to encourage the Divas by contributing via the link below - any amount, no matter how small, is appreciated. https://www.justgiving.com/team/teamdancingdivasanddudes
18. The absolutely fabulous Dancing Divas (Sheena, Alison and Julie) have broken through the £1000 mark in direct donations for their Kiltwalk on Sunday 20 August!!! And Gift Aid will add to that. 👏👏👏 All money raised goes to the DADSC fund to provide access to the 1st Floor function suites for wheelchair users and people with mobility problems - we`re overwhelmed with the support given by Pars fans and the Ceroc dance community - thank you so much. You can encourage the Dancing Divas even more by donating any amount, large or small, at https://www.justgiving.com/team/Teamdancingdivasanddudes
19. Astonishing figures supporting the Dancing Divas, especially from the Ceroc dance community - not many of whom have yet experienced the delights of East End Park! Total donated (so far) is £915, so with £165 of Gift Aid also coming from HMRC, the Divas` efforts have already raised £1080 for DADSC. Special DADSC/Kiltwalk T-shirts for the girls will be ready any day now, pictures to be posted soon Huge thanks to everyone who has donated so far. I`m well aware money is tight for many folk, but small donations are very welcome and much appreciated. So don`t feel pressurised by JustGiving`s suggested donation figures, you can customise them right down to £1 and don`t leave a "tip" for JG. Every pound will help us get proper access to the 1st Floor function suites for wheelchair users and people with mobility problems. https://www.justgiving.com/team/Teamdancingdivasanddudes
20. Slam! The window has shut and the winning bid is £55, which will go to the DADSC fund for getting access to the 1st Floor at East End Park for people with mobility problems. Thank you to Brian and dafc.net.
21. A bid of £55 has been received by email. Thank you. Just a few minutes to go now.
22. Total donated by Pars fans and Ceroc dancers is now at £820 (+ £142.50 in Gift Aid) so in total £962.50. Two weeks to go before the Dancing Divas take on the Kiltwalk, so let`s try to break the £1000 barrier by then.Thank you to everyone who has contributed, it`s really quite humbling. https://www.justgiving.com/team/Teamdancingdivasanddudes
