  1. I don't think we will. He'll either put Hamilton in there like we finished last week or FW in the middle with the new guy on the right and Otoo on the left. Or He'll go with a four of Edwards, Otoo, Fagan- Walcott, and Welch-Hayes on the right (or vice versa on the right hand side). I can't see Benjamin starting tbh.
  2. It really all depends on what Pars team turns up, the one that played Utd, or the one that played QP. I don't think they are miles ahead of us, IF we play to our full abilities. At home, we should've beat them and although they gubbed us 3-0 away, I don't think that necessarily tells the story of the game. Sharp chucked two in, and defensively we were rotten but on the ball, I thought we did OK and we missed some great chances at crucial times. I do think we will lose tonight, given recent form, but we are more than capable of a result too.

  4. Not really given he is a right sided defender and Ashcroft is left sided. This is cover for Comrie and/or Fagan Walcott, or they've seen enough of Xavier Benjamin and are shuffling things about. I think the point being made is there is a guy at Raith who has a great network of contacts and they are using that to get him onto players to speak to them to convince them to come. My personal perception is that Meggle doesn't have those relationships with these players so won't be as equipped to do that, and Cook can sell the club, but not on as a personal a level as someone who knows most of these guys professionally having played with them, against them, or coached them at some point in his career and that is why they are pipping to all of these players. More than one of them has alluded to this. I'm not saying they both can't attract players, I'm saying that the personal aspect is having great success for Raith.
  5. Auto pilot - I'm going as well 🤣 Neither will start but 15-20 mins to go I'd expect them both to come on.
  6. I hear you. Good news that we could have both Matty and Jakubiak in the squad on Saturday. Two good players to come off the bench alongside the likes of young Holmes who I’d give a longer run to this week as his movement has looked good and the short spells he’s had. Can’t be any worse than empty shirt McCann.
  7. Well that started out as just the tonic then you quickly ripped away all hope at the end 🤣 Bravo 😄
  8. This is a football decision. He’s getting his current contract paid no matter where he goes so it’s not about money. We’ve agreed a deal with Dundee same as the Rovers, so it’s his choice where he goes. Possible medal for a title or a relegation battle? Tough choice when you’re out of contract at the end of the season. As much as it’s pains me to say it, currently, we’re not as attractive an option as the Rovers. It’s as simple as that.
  9. I’m convinced they are trolling us now.
  10. I did say it can't ALL be bad luck, ie some of it might be. I've been involved in football at various levels all my life as well as watching the Pars for all that time and I can't recall another situation like it anywhere.
  11. I think it's silly to suggest his time is up given what he has had to deal with injury wise over the course of the season. Any plans they had in place and goals/targets set must surely have been ripped up by early winter and it would be grossly unfair not to take that into account when discussing his situation. It's not like it's been 2 or 3 key players he's had out but almost an entire team. Having said that, I don't think he should be immune from criticism either. One of the questions I'd like answered is what has he (or we as a club) done about the number of muscle injuries we've had? Bene injury number 1, KRH, Fisher off the top of my head were all impact injuries and what you'd expect and no blame can be attached, these things happen. The vast majority of them though are muscle tears, strains, ligament injuries etc, and these, to me, suggest that they have been impacted by load, rest, prep, warm up/cool down etc, ie the Sports Science side. That's the entire point of that area of the medical team, how much oversight has he, or indeed Meggle, given that area and asked questions of the data to try and ascertain why it is happening because this is a recurring problem. It can't all be down to bad luck.

  13. Six nations being on is reason enough for me to go to the fitba. I'd rather watch the Morton game again than watch that 🤣
  14. Odd thing to say. All I said was I don't let it bother me any more as it's not worth my headspace and I'm much happier for it, I wasn't criticising him for it. Seems I touched a nerve that I wasn't even reaching for.
  15. I was over it by Saturday night, it's a game of fitba man, and not that important in the grand scheme of things. I used to be like you then I realised the above. Life is too short to get wound up for days on end about it. Anyway, I've been a Pars fan for 42 years, and bar a few wee blips, it's never been much different. It's what makes any success all the more enjoyable. Put it this way, I'd choose to be a Pars fan, or any diddy team fan for that matter, over being an OF fan every day of the week. Pints tomorrow, guid craic, hopefully a win, and we're all happy. Even if we lose, the other two make it a guid day out.
  16. Why would we need that? It's not to be below 3 degrees, drizzle, 40mph winds between now and then and 8 degrees come 3pm on Saturday. Absolutely no chance the game will be off unless there is unexpected weather.
  17. I don't think their form is slipping, I think their luck has run out. I've said it since the start of the season they were riding their luck quite a bit and weren't all that great. 5 defeats on the bounce...
  18. See you tomorrow pal 👋🤣
  19. You're better drinking them pal. Hope this helps.👍
  20. Such a glass half full approach is not welcome in the Parsland. Be off with your positive nonsense!
  21. So already a 3 inch improvement on Chris Hamilton.
  22. Agreed. We don't know if he didn't fancy the move either.
