I think we're a far stronger team than when we last played Montrose at EEP.

Have to say it appears that this is the case. On the face of it, we've regressed since they came on board (I accept the Covid period can't be counted, indeed they should be commended for proceeding at such an uncertain time) - we've appointed 2 terrible managers & got relegated to the 3rd tier. Whatever the reasons are, we've now failed to add to the squad when our main rivals have strengthened theirs. If we lose the league now, having been 7 points clear, it really is unforgivable & questions will rightly be asked of them.

These "transfer windows" really are a load of old arse in our current situation. We are pretty much farting around in the loan market and have another month to pick players up. I hate them. All manufactured by the EPL and Sky so they can bring Clinton Morrison, Jamie O'Hara and that woman with the big white teeth to slaver all day about who Fulham aren't going to sign.

It's testament to how utterly useless Peter Grant was that I was relatively optimistic when Hughes was appointed. I was firmly on the Yogi Bus after a couple of games. Then I made the mistake to go thro to Hamilton last November. Absolutely terrible set-up and performance. I pretty much gave up at that point. It set the tone for the rest of the season. What an awful manager.

I can see why they've taken on Allan. He's an annoying knob so fits McGlynn to a tee (Tade/Baird/Spence) but loan signings are always a gamble.

I'm happy our squad is virtually assembled, the loan players (Fisher excepted) have been retained & we're not signing players while being 7 points off the top & praying they all knit together immediately. Be positive! We're in a good place.
