  1. Think that puts to bed the theory that the keeper stopped the ball on the line. It was over, the linesman had an almost perfect view & it was a goal.
  2. The best thing I've ever seen on the internet. Joyous
  3. Why is it that some folk just can't enjoy the few glorious moments we get as Pars fans? They seem to dislike seeing fellow fans revel in a famous victory at home under the lights inside a packed stadium. Truly odd individuals & hardly able to call themselves a "supporter" in the true sense of the word.
  4. Lump in the throat honestly. I love the Pars
  5. I have him blocked but I honestly read that post you quoted & thought it was from a Falkirk fan. Honest to god it's really sad that he can't just enjoy the moment.
  6. Nights like this are meant to be savored. It makes ****e like last season almost bearable. You know that no matter how Hughes we were there's good times ahead somewhere down the road. I love the Pars
  7. It's a gamble but I like him as a manager. Hopefully he's learned from his mistakes at Aberdeen
  8. The only person I know who claimed to be a Falkirk fan had a weird looking poodle that he used to show at Crufts. He didn't have a clue about how their games had went when we got in to work on a Monday. He was an odd guy. I never checked if he had the standard amount of fingers...
  9. Great signing at this level & presumably the "quality" the manager was insisting we wait for. Could be crucial. The guy should cruise it.
  10. Or you could be wired to the moon watching the Pars grind out a ****ty 1-1 draw at home to Airdrie simply because it was the first time in about 18 months that you & your 76 year old faither made it to a game together. It's about much more than what happens on the pitch. It's picking him up before the game, mum shouting "hope they win" & then the drive along the A92.....the 90 mins, then analysing the game together afterwards. DAFC are "the football" to me & him. That's what matters. Not silky Sky fitba. The Pars
  11. Last Saturday at Airdrie was dull as fk tbf
  12. The starting line-up yesterday was probably a bit of an overreaction to last weeks first half then comeback. If anything positive comes out of it is that it's pretty clear there are 3 our 4 of our squad who shouldn't start but are pretty handy to come off the bench. And, dare I say it, we need Chalmers in the team.
  13. Neither can I - for different reasons...... As much as a tiny minority of Pars fans would like it to happen & completely de-rail our title hopes for some weird reason, Motherwell will not be appointing James McPake as their next manager and that's no reflection on how good a job he's doing or his talents as a manager. We seem to be onto a good thing here. Let's hope nothing gets in the way of getting out this division.
  14. bully1 /ˈbʊli/ Learn to pronounce verb gerund or present participle: bullying seek to harm, intimidate, or coerce (someone perceived as vulnerable). "her 11- year-old son has been constantly bullied at school"
  15. Great news. Welcome to the club Ewan
  16. For the first time in years I've just watched those highlights from that game in 96 with a lump in my throat & a wee tear in my eye. It reminded me of why I love my club, no matter which ****ey league we happen to be in just now. It really was a special day. Also worth noting that although they were absolute scumbags on the pitch, guys like Kenny Black etc were the first to offer congratulations to Bert & Dick - true sportsmen.
  17. Ugh.............Peter Hetherston - who completed the un-holy trinity of playing for Raith, Falkirk & Airdrie. "Silky" had a face only a mother could love. The image of him equalising in the 95-96 decider still gives me the fear. Really hated him as a player.
  18. Have to say he sounds absolutely dense on the radio
  19. Neither would I but needs must.
  20. Thanks. That's a great idea. Will do it now
