  1. Last night was never going to be a continuation of Friday. We got a couple of big bits of luck which had a massive part in how the game ended up. It might've gave us a wee bit confidence for a couple of days but the flaws in the way we play & the players we still have missing AND Kane being out as well meant, for me, that last night was a decent point. No more than that.

  2. It wasn't just about the style of play last season. When he got the job McPake said he just wanted us to win games. He certainly did that. We had to get out that league and we did. At the same time we looked like we were really building something that the supporters, especially the young fans, were buying into. There was a real spirit about the club.

That's all evaporated it would seem.

  3. I'm really scunnered with The Pars just now. Feel like the owners have lost any interest in making us competitive in the Championship while Rovers go from strength to strength. Falkirk romping League 1 as well while we settle for second best. Just not good enough

  4. (Mildly) interesting that Thistles' only 2 league wins this year have been a 3-2 over QP and a 4-0 scudding of Arbroath. Recent draws with Inverness and Airdrie might give us a wee bit hope that Friday might not be a total lost cause.

Brian Graham v our central "defence" still gives me the absolute fear tho.

I'm expecting a 2 or 3 goal defeat but hoping we can repeat the effort up at Tannadice a few weeks ago.

Just another appointment who can't lead this club successfully in the second tier of Scottish football. Grant, Hughes and McPake is now in that same category.

Heartbreaking how incompetent our owners and managers have performed since 2011.

Growing up in the mid 80's and through to the Bert Paton years leaves you numb watching the modern day Pars. Gutless wimps all over the park that don't have the balls to compete. Sign of the times.

All fair points but not having anyone getting all misty eyed about Hughes. That team had more than enough ability to stay up.

  6. I appreciate the effort they're putting in but that was a really terrible game to watch. So many bad passes I lost count. We may have played better but Arbroath were awful. We're not getting clear of this battle at the bottom now. It's going to be like this until the end of the season. Grim

  7. When you have a midfield that includes both Chalmers and Allan you are asking for trouble. I made a point of watching Allan for 5 minutes yesterday and I hate saying it but he contributed next to nothing. At one point he came short to take a ball from Benjamin. No-one near him but just passed straight back to him. Neither of them joins the "press" our strikers attempt so 2 or 3 simple passes and Queens were in our half. Pathetic.

  8. Everyone's disappointed with how the season is unfolding. Have to say i agree tho. It just doesn't seem to bother me as it used to. A ****e result used to ruin my weekend. I couldn't even face MOTD on a Saturday night. Now it's put to bed almost straight away. Maybe cos I'm 52 and almost grown up......!

    Roll on Saturday.
