  1. One of the best (imo) things about German football matches is that outside the ground before the turnstiles open is that you can stand and have a beer outside. Eintracht Braunschweig have a pop up that sells beer and the usual soft drinks (Coke, Fanta, Sprite, Mezzo etc) or you can buy your own booze and stand and drink that, the police are usually there in a decent number but are generally well natured. Can't imagine that in Scotland. Wolfsburg don't have anywhere selling beer outside (that I noticed) but you can still stand outside and bevvy before the gates open.
  2. Wasn't convinced that the appointment of Hughes was a good one considering his time with Rovers, and when Hartlepool paid Livingston compensation for his services Livi were delighted that someone had taken him off their hands AND given them money for him. However, because of the complete and utter **** show he has inherited and the transfer market is very limited in January I will give him the same free ride that Jocky Scott got when he inherited Iain Munro's squad.
  3. Can folk please stop with the "wee Nippy" patter. You're not 6.
  4. Yeah, looks to be a pathetic attempt at trolling.
  5. Can you please go into more detail as to why?
  6. Not really paid much attention to the Scottish Premier this season but read that Hibs had only won one game in the last nine. Pretty dire.
  7. No @Piracy. It is not just you, segregated schools have no place in a modern society.
  8. Falkirk got a 6-0 doing from Queen's Park today. Think I might get the popcorn out and go for a wee look on One F.
  9. Apologies to the new posters who might have been waiting a bit longer than they may have liked to be able to start posting. Admin doesn't get a notification or anything. We have to manually check the control panel and then it's "oh ****e, there's 6 new registrations over the past couple of days".
  10. My Mum volunteers in the Cancer Research shop in the town. Will get her to keep an eye out because they regularly get programmes in.
  11. Haven't scored a goal in the competition since 2018 so a win is a big ask.
  12. Cup run would have been nice but we'll just have to beat Thistle when we get them in the Cups next season.
  13. I know that Ross won't want a fuss made over him stepping down because it is the type of guy he is but would there be any merit of the forum giving him something as a token of appreciation for everything he has done for the club?
  14. Dundee United have released a statement stating that the fan has had his season ticket cancelled.
  15. About a season and a half I think. Got a pretty bad injury, retired, got a testimonial then resurfaced at Morton about a year later.
  16. I thought exactly the same for obstruction tbh. Maybe it was different in 1987. Being 6 years old at the time, my memory is a little sketchy.
  17. A question for the older posters on the forum. What do you remember about this when West Germany and Austria played out a mutually beneficial 1-0 win for the Germans in the 1982 World Cup at the expense of Algeria? I have read that the German commentator stopped commentating, the Austrian commentator told viewers to change the channel and the Spanish media published the result in the crime section of the newspaper. Also noted that the referee was Scottish (Bob Valentine). That must have been a really weird game to officiate. FIFA said that there was no corruption involved but in later World Cups, final group games had to kick off at the same time... 🤔
  18. Just watched it back. Billy Stark didn't actually go down, kind of ran into Robertson. Penalty given. Around 7:46.
  19. The penalty he gave was a horrific decision. Celtic player went down after barely being brushed by Graeme Robertson.
  20. No, towards the home terracing (wasn't yet the Norrie) just beyond the dugouts. Found the footage. I was mistaken. It was towards the Cowden end. My memory always had it in front of the Scotform barrier for some reason.
  21. Wasn't that Wiilie Miller? Ball was heading towards the enclosure at the front of the main stand but not yet out and he caught it two handed, getting a second booking.
  22. As I posted on Facebook hopefully we get the John Hughes from Inverness and Ross County and not Livingston and Raith Rovers.
  23. This. With wingers told to get to the by-line and launch crosses on strikers' heads.
  24. Had a look at the historical kits page. Definitely a Queen of the South player.
