  1. I remember I wasn't at an away match up at Forfar and for reasons known only to himself he decided to tell people I had broken my leg. Was awkward to say the least when I was at the Pars Celtic Jock Stein remembrance match and he saw me with the same people he had told the day before I was incapacitated. Lies drip effortlessly from that boy's mouth.
  2. Being extremely pedantic, I think that is 1995 going by the billboard. We are playing Dumbarton in the picture who weren't in the same league as us in 1994 and we are wearing the 1994-96 home strip.
  3. Sure I have seen that before. Pretty certain it was in a programme.
  4. Disappointed but not surprised that Ross McArthur has decided to step down from the DAFC board. I say, without hyperbole, that without that man there would be no Dunfermline Athletic Football Club. Some Pars "fans" really are ungrateful so and sos.
  5. I want Stewart Petrie in the role personally. First off, he might get some breathing space from our notoriously fickle fans if he has a poor start. Of course appointing him would be a risk but so was appointing Jock Stein, Jim Leishman, and Jim McIntyre with no managerial experience and they all won trophies. Bert Paton's best managerial successess were as Alex Totten's no2 before he got the manager position here. Although I wouldn't be too disappointed with John Robertson if he is interested.
  6. Well the official line is covid however there is probably a correlation in the sales of bratwurst falling dramatically in the past year... To address the serious part of your post though 3.Liga club Wehen Wiesbaden parted company with their manager last week...
  7. Don't even joke about that btw. The German fourth tier is amateur so wouldn't cost us very much at all to bring someone in from it. However, in the interest of pedantry I should point out that there was no relegation last season from the 4th tier downwards after the season got suspended because of covid.
  8. He's gone. Statement just posted.
  9. Foet William are also hamstrung by having to play every game away from home.
  10. Only 3 teams in the history of the Scottish Championship who have finished the season bottom had less average points per game than we currently have. 2014/15 Cowdenbeath 0.69 2015/16 Alloa 0.58 2017/18 Brechin City 0.11 It is also worth noting that Brechin were comically out of their depth.
  11. Statement reads like "He can f**k off". Not posting something along the lines of "we thank Paul for his service and wish him all the best" looks just as unprofessional as his alleged behaviour and encourages stories to grow arms and legs imo. Surprised that the club didn't do that and take the high ground.
  12. Andy Tod also received a testimonial.
  13. Might be an improved performance but the bare facts are that 1 quarter of the season is over and done with and we have 0 wins. If we are to remain in the Championship (any chance of promotion, even through the playoffs is long gone) then we have to get rid of the lobotomy patient who was stupidly appointed our manager. To be honest I don't have a problem with Grant personally, he seems quite likeable but extremely thick.
  14. Isn't it the Faroes Scotland play today? No, it's not. My mistake. Watched Germany under 21s beat Israel u21s during the week with an injury time winner, and my wife rather meanly quipped "Germany have made the Jews cry again"
  15. No, you can't have any money.
  16. That is disgraceful. Whoever did that (if true) needs a good kick in. Nobody would blame Ross if he said "**** it, I'm off" but then we are stuck with that **** whose skin is so orange he needs permission to walk by a chapel...
  17. Had a wee Google of Thomas Meggle last night. It seems that St. Pauli let him go over "differences of opinion" but I couldn't find anything more. Also found a recent podcast/interview (Dunfermline are mentioned) with a Hamburg based newspaper where he used the line "crisis meetings are overrated". https://www.abendblatt.de/podcast/millerntalk/article231119414/FCSP-Pauli-Meggle-Leid-Fan-Schultz-Krise-Anekdoten-Podcast-Millerntalk.html The article.
  18. Kelty Hearts with a bold and cheeky move
  19. I became deeply suspicious about the Lifeline when I had been paying into it for at least a year and went to collect an updated card in the club shop and they had no knowledge of my details. Managed to get my card at the following open day and I was assured that my name had been in the draws, wasn't fully convinced but continued paying my subs until it wasn't financially viable for me to donate 20 quid a month. I had been considering restarting my subscription as I am a better financial position again but in light of yesterday's statement, not now.
