  1. Lets be honest proven goalscorers are becoming rarer and rarer as rule, very few traditional number 9s. You look at a lot of teams the goals are scored amongst the front 4/5 players. Think we are starting to see that here and I wouldn't be surprised if that is not what McPake wants, rather than single out a single striker, get more front players forward supported by the midfield. If that is the case more has to be done to put the finishing as a priority and get players to take their chances or at least have a go. A shot from 20 yards by a defender or midfielder ricocheting around the box with 3 or 4 players in there is always going to provide chances. The Airdrie game against Falkirk was very typical of that, the Airdrie players fed on scraps but were encouraged to take shots get in the box for the tap ins which got them 4 goals. Getting a Harrland in the Scottish 1st division isn't happening.
  2. 3-2 Think Montrose will stretch our defence, but think we have enough to score 1 more than them.
  3. Major achievement for woman's football, nothing more nothing less bringing it rightly in-line with the mens game! Have my 9 yr old daughter with Joe at Duloch as the only girl in her group can see that changing now. Before anyone says anything derogatory about female football, yes it might slightly be different but so is tennis, golf etc etc but we still support them! let’s see if EEB is any less misogynistic than .net!
  4. Played Championship football to relegation level, and are being found wanting at the level we are at now. We need better recruitment and better players simples!
  5. Deutsch Par, I'm heading back to Berlin and Lietzen in October and Hamburg and Flechtingen in December once again this year spending some time with some very interesting German businessmen feel free to join us if you wish. They are are wealth of information as most businessmen are.
  6. I never said they didn’t but I was store specific and I think I used the words central locations (but don’t quote me) if you are hanging on every word, as you obviously have a very interesting life over there visit Kaufland stores! But as an admin on the site I would have thought you would know the rules about being nice to fellow posters and not swearing as the forum is available to children! 🤷🏼‍♂️
  7. It’s Kaufland they have connections with Keyser but I did say that originally.
  8. Time will tell I suppose as I said originally I hope it doesn’t!
  9. Time will tell I suppose as I said originally I hope it doesn’t!
  10. It comes to something though when it’s that petty you have to pull the poster for mixing up the civil service club and Rosyth. 🤔
  11. Ok you know everything so any hint of scepticism is fantasy! I also predicted one of the board members businesses was in serious jeopardy and is also a board member on EEP. That was fantasy too 🤷🏼‍♂️
  12. On the same line as it easy just to pick up on the 1 or points made that are disagreed with to take the opportunity to go for the poster and ignore the other parts of the post. That just stifles any chance of debate, positive, negative or indifferent. Seems very oppressive.
  13. To a degree so are you attendance facts, as they only marginally increased over the season and that in reality probably had more to do with people feeling confident visiting public places after covid, using public transport etc etc. The biggest increases in attendance was with the bigger teams coming to EEP with a healthy away support which is what I mentioned in my original post. See taking off the rose tinted glasses gives a fairer balance and adds to the discussion it not negative it’s constructive it appears that different views away from the bubble aren’t appreciated but by adding points for discussion is somehow a negative to the club! We have been blindly led before and those who spoke out then were told to get back in their box! Highlighting concerns is not detrimental it’s about giving people the choice to think and investigate and make their own decisions on things! 🤷🏼‍♂️
  14. As I said it was seen or reported somewhere it could even have been the other site but just doing my own research and considering he was commercial director at Nottingham Forest and with Ethihad Airlines he will have a standard of living and he was approached by a team of very wealthy investors who know the value of good staff. https://www.glassdoor.co.uk/Salaries/ceo-salary-SRCH_KO0,3.htm
  15. I saw/read it somewhere and seen references to that figure elsewhere hence why I never stated as fact and only reportedly.
  16. If the work has never been costed, how can it be paused because prices have increased? the site was taken over at the height of material shortages when prices were at their highest. Prices have flattened and some have come down (if you do your own research, and not listen to your mate) You also know that a massive amount of construction work is required to build an Astro pitch especially if they use a tarmac base. This also requires building and civils works and materials. The point made about walk up fans was caveated with having a good product on the pitch which was ignored and the cost of living crisis which was set to get worse when the heating needs turned up when it gets colder and prices increase again. Russia is running the Nors pipeline at 1/5 capacity causing European shortages already. This will effect the running costs of the club also. I don’t mind discussing anything but let’s discuss the full point not cherry pick a certain bit to make it look like it’s not factual.
  17. Digs, you are very good at circumventing some points and ignoring other relevant parts when answering points. Fair play, but if you do want to be reasoned why not take on all the points in their context?
  18. A lot of talk of negative assumptions by posters. So lets make some more assumptions. Building materials did go up while short, they have stabilised in availability and prices have started coming back down, so let’s assume that is not the issue. With regards to Astro pitch, we have plans submitted for a pitch and floodlights. Can we assume however it has not been put out to tender to build? Why because no exploratory work has been carried out on what is required to build in that location. Drainage assessment will be required, environmental impact, considering we have red listed endangered waders feeding on it that’s going to be a major issue. Having grass pitches to train on in the meantime is good, what happens during the building work, when they get waterlogged or when they freeze? We can assume we are still going to need to hire Astro this winter. Then the building so far no change of use plans submitted it was a licensed social club. Can we assume no building assessment was carried out on the condition and the full cost of conversion and if asbestos was present? My Asbestos training is always to assume that pre 1990 the building will have asbestos present. You can’t just knock it down and pretend it doesn’t exist, conversion or demolition still requires the asbestos to be stripped out. Surely if Rosyth knew this they would have passed it on to the club? An average 4G pitch generally cost £60 per square metre but depends on the work required to build the base. So roughly £500,000. So let’s assume the club have some very big decisions to make to invest in Rosyth or invest in the team! The final point from the CEO was season tickets, he welcomed the good numbers sold however went on to say the U18 tickets had doubled can we assume we had 500 U18 tickets last year? This year its a 1000. 1000 @£50 only pays half of the CEO’s wage if the reported £100k salary is true. Cup runs this year were/are vital, away crowds bar Falkirk will be low and unless we are playing good football winning games walk up spectators will not be massive especially with the cost of living crisis. We need to find monthly wages, rent for EEP and all the other day to day running costs including gas and Electricity. I’d like to assume the board has taken all these into account when planning for the season, bearing in mind none come from a football background?
  19. From being fully committed to having full training facilities at Rosyth we are now looking at building costs! This statement was made at the same time as we were committed to returning and challenging in the Premiership.
  20. Wetherspoons are not brewery owned they are Free Houses.
  21. No the overall problem is fans expectations, we were expected to be and touted to be one of the top teams in the Championship last season, many of us saw we were relegation fodder long before Christmas. We were told we wouldn't go down, we would strengthen the team in January, we didn't, then waited too long to change from one dinosaur to another dinosaur. Still we were being told that getting excited about relegation play offs was additional money. Until we were relegated. Then before the dust had even settled our better players in those final games were signing for our rivals as we sat back waiting to sack Hughes and get McPake in. Then boom we are bumbling into a new season with the majority of the players that weren't good enough to stay in the Championship now being expected to win us promotion. If you want hope and expectation you need win over the disgruntled fans not try and hoodwink them, with the biggest budget, big plans, new £100k CEO, new training academy etc etc while what the paying public has no desire to pay to watch what's on the pitch! Then you have an academy at a poorly supported club, in the bottom end of Scottish football trying to attract players against all the other clubs above them with more money to pay the their academy players. This really is back to front thinking. Because we will be paying peanuts and getting what we pay for, so the cash dream of selling our best academy players to fund the future is a long long long way away! We need investment in the team to be winning games, fighting and winning promotion and having players wanting to come to us as we are an exciting progressive team going up the way!
  22. Their lies the question, what is the long term aim? Why are we not seeing investment in players coming in while are 6 fingered friends seeming to be throwing everything at getting promoted this season despite it being banded about that they are the verge of going bust. We have multi millionaire investors spending peanuts watching our club fall down the league and constantly misjudging the supporters and the financial importance of almost everything. It's worrying looking in and un-nerving for most fans watching the team play in the 3rd tier of Scottish football unconvincingly.

  24. Great win for us last night but haven't seen it mentioned that Falkirk beat His 1-0 last night. So improvements will certainly be required to ensure we don't end up playing second best to that mob all season/ I'm still struggling to understand who is bankrolling them when you read the financial crisis they appear to be in.
  25. School uniform is far cheaper than designer clothes, can easily be sourced even to exchange banks. A white blouse or shirt and black skirt/trousers can easily be picked from ASDA to Next, but very few will notice the price point difference on the clothes. The problem with designer clothes is they are expensive, or fake or you can't afford them or run up huge debt to keep your kids up to date. We are going through it with our daughters at the moment and we are not budging, despite the emotional blackmail. The bullying and stigma to those who aren't wearing the latest designer clothes can be brutal if they choose not to wear them or wear fakes. School uniforms hardly cause any issues.
