  1. Now Now KP you know we are not allowed to criticise the board!
  2. Currently on his worst run in his managerial career. Managerial record by team and tenure Team From To Record P W D L Win % Falkirk 31 January 2003 31 May 2009 283 117 61 105 41.3 Hibernian 8 June 2009 4 October 2010 54 19 12 23 35.2 Livingston 14 February 2012 13 November 2012 27 12 5 10 44.4 Hartlepool United 13 November 2012 9 May 2013 29 8 9 12 27.6 Inverness Caledonian Thistle 4 December 2013 20 May 2016 121 50 30 41 41.3 Raith Rovers 10 February 2017 13 May 2017 15 4 4 7 26.7 Ross County 21 December 2020 24 May 2021 21 8 2 11 38.1 Dunfermline Athletic 15 November 2021 Present 14 3 5 6 21.4 Total 563 220 128 215 39.1 A bit better than Grant but not by very much, same win record currently with 4 games less, but the fans were already calling for his head at this point! 2 losses and 2 draws in the next 4 games and the record will be exactly the same. As of match played 30 October 2021 Team From To Record G W D L Win % Norwich City 16 October 2006 9 October 2007 54 18 12 24 33.3 Alloa Athletic 10 July 2019 30 April 2021 70 20 18 32 28.6 Dunfermline Athletic 28 May 2021 31 October 2021 18 3 7 8 16.7 Career total 142 41 37 64 28.9 We really need 4 wins in our next 4 games! Ironically both Peter Grant and Yogi's last clubs they managed in the Championship[ have both been relegated, nothing like employing managers with a proven track record in this league!
  3. It must of auto corrected as I never double checked after spelling, I whole heartedly apologise for a inexcusable typo on such high brow intellectual platform. As for David Roberson again forgive me for using the Wikipedia link on a Daily Record page I was perusing through. I will ensure all links in future that are clicked from on media pages are double checked. I shall edit that section to ensure no ambiguity!
  4. I've not read a lot on this except recently so did some research a few startling facts become apparent. This is in no way to defend them both. However it would appear that by showing remorse would be an admission of guilt. Both David Goodwillie and David Robertson insisted that the sex was consensual. The procurator agreed not enough evidence was available to proceed with a trial with a prospect of them being found guilty, this included seeing all the CCTV footage, witnesses in the club and speaking to witness's at the flats in Armadale where evidence from an upstairs neighbour stated that he was aware of sex taking place downstairs it sounded nothing more than normal sex. For the civil case the CCTV was not made fully available as it would be in a normal criminal case as this was for a civil prosecution so down to lawyers to present compelling evidence to the court it showed the key moments which the case hinged on. By this time it had also become apparent that the witness upstairs was under investigation for child sexual abuse and shortly after was charged and sentenced to 2 years in jail. At the time of his statement to police this was apparent. For the civil case he was now an unreliable witness. The appeal was heard on the same evidence as the civil trial so the outcome was the same. I think Denise Clair was a very brave woman to go through with the private case and she obviously had a very good legal team and possible "extra" help to get the civl decision through. However whatever happened that night was sordid but I think for someone to go for so long without an apology says his stance was they did nothing wrong. Only the 3 of them will know who is morally correct and telling the truth. However this was 11 years ago David Goodwillie was getting on fine until he upset Val McDermott by moving to Raith Rovers. The reality is however that Raith Rovers have basically repaid the £50,000 damages he was forced to pay Denise Clair, he will now likely leave the UK and continue in some football position abroad as he is free of any criminal conviction. What I will say over my lifetime I have seen many footballers leave clubs during an evening with a girl(s) on their arm, this includes Dunfermline and Edinburgh. I also know one who got cheating on her boyfriend and used the excuse she'd had too much to much to drink, she broke down in the police station and said she had lied to her soon to be ex-boyfriend.
  5. If the directors are not taking dividends does anyone know the reason on the limit of the directors are prepared to have? I know there was an original amount required to be invested in the club to be a director, it just seems strange that is limited still at this stage to have to have one step down for another to join.
  6. The worse case scenario could still happen I think! Play off final against Falk***
  7. Bill Braisby is Vice Chairman of DAFC and a Director of EEP Ltd.
  8. A Lithuanian International player not good enough for the Pars........................................🤷‍♂️
  9. I do hope Dundee haven't punted McPake for Ferguson........Stranger things have happened. Or have Dundee acted fast to grab Jack Ross?
  10. He obviously thought he would have no problem taking a team straight back up to the Championship boosting his credentials. Just imagine his predecessor moved on to a bigger team after getting Alloa relegated the reward for getting them promoted would have been a Premier League gig surely! 🤣
  11. The board meeting that decided to sign him probably finished with the lines. "what's the worse that can happen, if he gets us the goals to win promotion all will be forgotten, lets do it"
  12. Val McDermid indicated in an interview yesterday that the pay off to terminate his contract will be a 6 figure sum. £100,000+ wow.
  13. No worries Digs. I'm not saying I have any right to tell you how to run the site. But if you are going to be running around scrutinising the users use of nicknames and handing out warnings and bans you are automatically increasing your workload where there has never been a problem apart from a few taking offence at a pet nickname upsetting a member of admin? You will have all the questions as to why this person that person has had a warning/ban etc etc, to deal with subsequently also. Hey Ho your ball play as you please.
  14. Nobody has said Nippy Sweetie though there is the point I refer to with it being twisted to suit an agenda. Nippy an annoying person nippy sweetie: In the Glasgow area an irritable sharp-tongued person may be described as a nippy sweetie. The term is an extended use of the original meaning, which was a sweet with a relatively sharp or tart flavour. Wee = small The fact she acknowledges the nickname makes it even more laughable that you are censoring it. https://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/nicola-sturgeon-explains-nippy-sweetie-nickname-1442087
  15. I'm not getting drawn into a political spat, but censoring "W** N*****" or other jokey pet names of politicians by labelling as a current buzz word is dangerous censorship, considering some of the outright vitriol and names used for others is going down a dangerous road. Many males and females can be described as nippy, and by using wee to describe as small in Scotland is perfectly normal. However anyone can twist to suit their agenda. What about lanky streak of P*** to describe a person? Label that? What do you suggest going forward? We use the full title of said politician we wish to discuss before we call him/her/other out for being a bunch of lying, misleading charlatans? It's a bit draconian for a light hearted football forum surely?
  16. That is almost saying 2 things, if I'm not getting a new contract at the moment I want to stay here and fight for a place in the team and potentially a new contract. or If I'm not getting a new contract at the end of the season I want to go to a team that may want to sign me in a better place than the Pars. Meaning I'll go to the Pars if you give me a new contract.
  17. Heard very similar, very changed days when clubs were keen to loan players to the Pars. Alan McGregor and Adam Hammill being two of the standouts amongst them. As I said recently back in the day football finished at 16.50 and you would be drinking side by side with the players in East Port Bar, Darcy's and Nico's . Players go out now they are usually locked in a glassroom in Zo's upstairs away from the masses, if they go out at all. The abuse of players and club staff on the pitch, in the stands and away from football this last few seasons, John Potter being spat on, Ross McArthur well reported, Stevie Crawford all were on the receiving end of abuse on non club activities. These players are all on social media and What's App groups with other players at other clubs throughout Scotland, and just like we all copy and paste posts to share as do these players with others and then into other groups.
  18. We are not attractive. Relegation fight, potential short term contracts or release clauses in the contracts. Yogi has not got the best reputation in the business as an old school type of manager. The lack of loan signings is the biggest frustration where other clubs are doing good business. As every week goes by we have one less week to play with a better/blending squad, whoever does come in has to adapt and fit in and play the role and get to know their teammates. The win last week was massive make no mistake.
  19. How the hell have Dundee let him get into that state. More to the point why has he let himself get into that state?
  20. This is excellent to hear very good luck with both projects.
  21. Great initiative, well done. Can I ask however why the age restrictions both upper and lower? I'm involved with the awful task of dealing with the after events of tragic suicides, the amount that go unreported and silent are very high. Yesterday it was a 13 year old boy, I'm at the stage of questioning things, on a how a 13 year old is in such a low place with no where left to turn that he is even considering taking his own life let alone going through with it. It shows me that these problems are starting way younger than many would expect and there would appear to be a huge gap in support for young people with a 2-3 year wait for any support through the NHS.
  22. We seem to be doing a lot of releasing, leaving and loaning out with very little coming in. Thats not spinning plates that is winging it unless you have certainties in place to replace what has left. But as digs has said we are not as an attractive option as the 20+ teams above us in the leagues, so we are feeding on scraps.
  23. I don't think Dundee have signed Griffiths he is only on loan to the end of the month from Celtic. I think from what I have read that Celtic are tearing up his contract at the end of the month (some clause in his 1 year contract he signed in the summer to stay at Celtic) Dundee will then have the option to sign him permanently or Griffiths becomes a free agent.
  24. How can he not be fit? How long has he been at Dundee? I think he is a confidence player and if he gets the confidence and the service then he will score goals for fun in this league. He has to be worth a 6 month deal to try and rebuild his career, after that it's up to him. If he shows no desire then you know his coupon is bust. If he keeps us in the league and he doesn't want to extend his stay then what have we lost apart from no relegation.
  25. If you can’t see the plan which is staring you in the face then you need to scratch the surface a little harder! The club is in free fall. A 1st or 2nd division team doesn’t need a 12,000 seated stadium, a full time squad or a posh training camp. It needs a small modern 3000 seater stadium in Rosyth. Low overheads, small budget and sustainable! With a bit of luck you even get to take your season ticket seat with you and pass through the old turnstiles!
