Went down to watch training today, Kane was training and looked good. Cardle still training with the team two other lads I didn’t recognise too

Cardle finished 1st at the Dunfermline park run on Saturday, he is still keeping himself fit.

  2. I think McPake will walk before he is sacked. I feel sorry for him because I don't feel he has been fully backed by the board. The board have been known for giving managers time and even wanted to keep Hughes on even after relegation.

The German crowd seem to have neglected the playing side of things and it's starting to show. I think they should get this living true sportsmanship idea binned.

Heard it was Cook that put that one to bed as McPake and Cardle wanted it to happen.

I wonder how many players McPake has wanted to sign and the board have put a stop to it? McGowan, Cardle and Wotherspoon come to mind. He was also very keen on getting Byrne in but Potter played a big part in making him a Rovers player.

Just wondered if anyone has heard anymore news on our two trialists Joe Cardle and Josh McPake. As both are unattached to clubs there are still free to sign

Heard Cardle is now definitely not happening.

  5. 🔴🔴🔴 CLUB STATEMENT 🔴🔴

After confirmation the Civil Service lease agreement has now been made with DAFC we as a club have felt the need to respond to recent comments made on social media.

We can confirm the initial proposal submitted to CSSC by DAFC did include Rosyth Seniors FC. The plans included an East of Scotland standard pitch that would accommodate Rosyth FC. DAFC approached Rosyth Seniors FC at outset and requested they consider being included in this proposal. As a club we were excited to be included in such an opportunity and it was clear there was an enthusiasm in the local community. As talks progressed between all organisations we kept in contact with each other and there were meetings held with all parties included.

For whatever reason during these discussions the decision was made that Rosyth Seniors FC were not to be included in the final lease agreement. The reasoning behind this has never been explained or offered to the club.

To say we were disappointed was an understatement as the project has again set us back on our objective of securing a park.

This project was to be an inclusive community project with the local senior football team being in-bedded in the heart of Rosyth. Unfortunately this is no longer the case and coupled with existing users of the facility being asked to leave the site due to the new lease agreement, it is again a kick in the teeth for local football.

On a positive note we will move on as a club. The communication lines with Fife Council have never been stronger and we are currently working closely with Fife Council on two new proposals. Once a decision is made in the very near future we hope to have a new ground secured by the start of next season.

As always thank you for your continued support.

    Regards

    Rosyth Seniors FC 🔴

  6. They are blaming the council, Dunfermline and Pitreavie for them folding.

It was Dunfermline who contacted them first and verbally agreed to share the civil service. Rosyth found out via the papers that they would not be involved anymore.

Rosyth have been treated terribly since leaving the rec. I know a few committee members voiced concerns about getting involved with Masterton and Pitreavie.

Greg Shields leaving has left a real hole to fill. I'm still disappointed at his departure and initially I did wonder if he'd left because he was miffed because something was wrong with how he was being supported etc. But we have to accept the official release from the club at the time.

I wonder if we're any closer to filling the post. A lot of suggestions about Cardle being s candidate, I personally wouldn't be against it.

A relative of one of the academy players told me he has heard Stevie Crawford is in the running for it. He also said Berra was in the running before relocating to America.

I'm behind McPake. Injuries have been horrendous. I think we're capable of getting back on our feet and performing to a competent level.

We really need to improve as an attacking threat. McPake is in his first crisis and is probably only two defeats away from being sacked. He still has my backing at the moment but things need to start improving. The three January signings won't be the answer.

  9. I think the club has went backwards under our Hamburg based owners. They wanted to be hands on but I doubt we would recognise most of them in the street. We have definitely went backwards on the field.

Meggle is suppose to have all these contacts and we haven't signed one player using them. When us and Raith went for Byrne he said in the paper potter was never of the phone to him and made him feel wanted. Meggle is suppose to be involved in recruitment and sounds like he does very little.

What do the original board members bring to the club nowadays? Nothing that comes to mind anyway. Time for them to move on and should have happened ages ago.

The transfer policy has been very poor. Most players we have been linked with are Dundee players or players who played under McPake at Dundee.

McPake will be given time. The same board wanted to keep Hughes on when he relegated us. I don't think McPake has been fully backed by the board.

Manager hasn’t been backed in the last few transfer windows. This recent one has been the worst.

I wonder how high up his list of targets Holmes, Benjamin and MFW were…….

Using the u23 English market is what relegated Falkirk I think. Meggle has a lot to answer for.

All the teams below us have changed their manager this season. Everyone from us upwards haven't. Yet.

Think winning the league last season and the injuries will give him time.

Brown/whittaker combo will get a good response from the Ayr team and I can see them a really hard team to beat this season..

He still could but I always had a feeling Brown might end up with us at some point.

    We employ more people.

When we were last in League One, the club was run by volunteers.  Aside from players and coaches, I think there were only a handful of paid employees.

I thought Cook wasn't getting a wage directly from club funds and was an employee of the Germans?

Another defender and hoping we can get both Otto and Hamilton back in the middle. Don't think there is many good strikers going about so maybe get one in from down south?

    Rudden from Dundee maybe?
