I see Dundee Have signed Ryan Astley a defender, I wonder if that could mean that Ashcroft moving on may be a more realistic probability
Think he will be Rovers bound.

McGowan spent nearly all preseason with us too.
McPake wanted him to join but the club didn't because of his age. We then signed MOH on a 2 year deal which made no sense.

So was Wotherspoon bud. Its common place with clubs offering players training facilities etc.
Dont get me wrong, I love Joe Cardle, I'm just not sure he's going to be sharp enough or fit enough nowadays to contribute to a competitive standard.
We offered Wotherspoon a deal.

Yeh watched him in a training session just before Christmas and he looked sharp. We need a bit of experience.
My mate spoke to him in the gym yesterday and said he is keeping himself super fit. It sounds like one of the directors is holding the deal up. The only one I can think of is Meggle in his role as DOF. If he is does join it will probably be in a player/coach role. He might even take over from Shields when he departs soon.

I'm calling bullshi* on that one.
Can't see it, however stranger things have happened.
He has been training with the club for a number of months.

Apparently McPake wants to bring Cardle in on a deal until the end of the season.
-
He will probably end up back at Sheffield Wednesday in some capacity.

He ticks all the boxes then. We need a right back to deputise for Aaron Comrie who's going to be out for a spell. He's known to McPake and has played for Dundee. 🙂
Seriously, McPake will know how good he is as a player and also his character.
We have also done business with Cardiff already in this window.

Vontae Daley-Campbell who is a right back for Cardiff could be one we are looking at bringing in on loan. He played under McPake at Dundee.

I think McCann was hoped to be back this weekend.
I think that leaves us
*Fit*
Mehmet, Sharp, Little
Edwards
Chalmers, Allan, MoH, Moffat
*Might be fit/Playing through injury*
Hamilton
Summers
Wighton, McCann
The majority of the ones who are fit have been miles off it and in an ideal world would be benched. Still can't believe MOH got a 2 year contract.

Shouldn't be a hopefully, its a must.
I don't think we will see as many new faces as people expect. Money is very tight and about a month ago I was told by a mate to expect no new signings in January. Things have obviously changed since then with the injury list growing.
-
Hopefully at least one new face in by Saturday. The u16 squad got told last night some of them will be playing for the u18s on Friday. A grandparent of one of the u16s was telling me it looks like seven u18s will be on the bench on Saturday.

It's the German investors credit that is running out for me. No way McPake was backed in the summer. Serious concerns about the abilities of our owners.
Hope I'm proven wrong.
And all the hangers on who are STILL at the club.

McPake could be away very soon and it would not be a shock. Absolutely pathetic and some of the contracts he has handed out are a disgrace.
-
McPake making some bizarre subs tonight. Who the hell authorised O'halloran on a 2 year deal.

I'm not sure on the last part, the only targets we known McPake definitely missed out on were McGowan and Wotherspoon. I'm glad about McGowan and we'll see about Wotherspoon.
Byrne was one we missed out on too. Some of the local lads that Partick signed could have also probably have been signed by us.
-
Two fife clubs under new ownership and only one who really looks like being an improved side. Back your manager and sign the players he wants.

We are all over the place with no Benedictus in the defence.

Confirmed off.

Pitch inspection at 11.

The club also told a lot of people who sell programmes and 50/50 tickets that they are not required anymore.
