Squad needs overhauled in the summer. Today was like watching a game under hughes. Dominate with tippy tappy pish and 0 end product. McCann last goal involvement over 4 months ago… sums our strikers up
-
If we have no Kane then we won’t ever score. 5 defeats against that mob in a row should be a sackable offence in itself. Lost faith in Mcpake now tbh, how Moffat can’t get a game after looking good against Ayr is beyond me. Create little yet again, next 2 games are tough ones

Heard too that he was injured and none of the fatigue stuff Mcpake was coming out with. Time will tell. As without him we effectively play with no striker

Am I right in believing this is the price for away fans only? Also I was told we're the only fans they charge £24. Don't know if that true, but truly shocking if so. Championship football not worth that.
£24 for home fans too. But us and Dundee United are part of the ‘A’ category. Robbing chaps. I’ve got a ticket but didn’t get adult

What makes you think that he was rushed back, KP? is it because he picked up another injury each time? I'd completely agree with you if he had aggravated the same injury, but they were totally unrelated, so we can't say he was rushed back. James McPake relies on advice from medical staff in any case. He doesn't just ask the player if he feels OK to play, especially not Bene, as he's notoriously optimistic.
"It's just a broken metatarsal" he told me, when I saw him in a moonboot after his first injury this season. "I'll be back in 3-4 weeks max."
Injury he got down at ayr was the same injury he picked up at raith. Both thigh injuries

I don't get that. The defence is much better with Benedictus in it. If he's fit to play, he should play. If he's struggling after an hour due to lack of match fitness, he should be subbed.
If we're too worried about him getting injured again to put him on the park, then we will never pick him again.
Think it’s more he’s been rushed back twice before and broke down twice. Need caution as need to think of next season with him too
-
Just think it’s too risky starting him on that surface again. Last time he came back he only managed 45 minutes on it then got injured for 8/9 weeks again

Queens Park v Partick Th 1-1
Raith Rovers v Dunfermline Ath (14/6780) 2-2

£24 for a game at this level is shocking. Looks like plenty are boycotting as ticket sales look low

Can’t see Hamilton getting dropped. Think it’ll be Allan to allow a midfield 3 if Hamilton Todd otoo. I’d say that would probably be out strongest midfield
-
For a team that’s not that good they’ve had no issue beating us plenty this season. Like digs said, purely depends on who plays for us. Listening to Mcpake interview post match I think Bene will be starting

My issue is not tonight. I think he's a crap goalkeeper.
Whoever sanctioned that 3 year deal shouldn’t be doing contract negotiations anymore

I know there can be frustration by some over mehmet not taking enough crosses but If you think the first is an easy ball for a goalkeeper to claim then I don’t know what to say, it’s an utter nightmare ball.
Would have to see it back but 2nd one he has got too. Takes 0 pressure off the defence at any point most games by not doing the basics

First half was good, 2nd half horrendous. Mcpake to blame with the team selection for me. Summers has been woeful for weeks now and how the **** McCann gets a game every week is beyond me! His last goal involvement was 4 months ago! And he’s supposed to be an attacking threat lol. Edwards and Todd were poor tonight and when they 2 aren’t at it we tend to struggle. Moffat getting dropped after a good performance was strange. Hopefully few changes for the derby

What was your issue with Mehmet tonight?
Probably the fact he was glued to his line when he should’ve came out for both goals. 2nd one before it went back out was in the air for absolutely ages
-
Hopefully Chris Kane isn’t serious as he’d be huge miss for the derby
-
This could maybe be like season we made playoffs under Johnson. We were brutal for weeks on end then the last 10/11 games we just went on a great run and hit the play offs bang in form. Nowhere ready for going up but I doubt Livingston were either and they’ve done well for 6 seasons until now

The Pars somehow sneaked into the promotion playoffs and then dumped the Rovers out especially because of the social media nonsense that they have spouted?
I know that there's probably only a 0.001% of it happening but I would find it so ****ing hilarious.
Would be the ultimate karma. I’d absolutely love that and imagine the crowds both legs could pull in

What a performance! What a difference playing with wide players who can actually attack and take a man on! Moffat was good but tired as not much football, full back 4 and mehmet were solid and didn’t give ayr a sniff. Kane up front just makes such a huge difference as does Matty Todd. His constant running at defenders is something we’ve hugely missed. Get a result on Tuesday and bring on the wee team! Crazy we are now 5 off top 4 and playing much better

Surely Bene won’t start? Would be absolute madness to do that
