Last night was never going to be a continuation of Friday. We got a couple of big bits of luck which had a massive part in how the game ended up. It might've gave us a wee bit confidence for a couple of days but the flaws in the way we play & the players we still have missing AND Kane being out as well meant, for me, that last night was a decent point. No more than that.
Agree regarding with players missing, as soon as we get a CB back it’ll be Hamilton straight into midfield. Doesn’t say much when we have a CB on the bench and would still rather Hamilton there. Kane coming back Saturday is huge and hopefully KRH is back this weekend or Tuesday night
-
Shows how skewed the xG stats can be then, as we are the 3rd lowest scorers in the league
-
Everything we done on Friday, we just didn’t do last night. It was back to the slow tippy tappy stuff and no real intent to get forward minus the Jakuibak miss. 2nd half we were set up for the draw and I thought Inverness were there for the taking

It's not. They have a terrible home record.
They’re just as bad as us at home
-
A team that had 0 shots on goal 2nd half and he thinks that was better? Truly worrying stuff. Hope to **** he doesn’t start with it on Saturday
-
Could be our saving grace that Inverness are even worse than us
-
100%. Made absolutely no sense to go to the back 5 and we then struggled to get men forward
-
Kane is just ill and will be back Saturday. On the football, what a truly awful display from both teams. Both as ****e as each other. The back 5 absolutely killed us and I don’t see why it was done? Saturday a must win now. Get back to a back 4 and id like to see Moffat get a start for a change as he’s actually a creative player so we maybe could muster up a shot on goal

Feeling confident, 2-1 pars win. Seeing Todd etc back has gave everyone real confidence we can go and win games now

Tues 27th Feb
Ayr Utd v Partick Th 1-2
Dundee Utd v Airdrie 3-1
Inverness CT v Dunfermline Ath (14/2166) 1-2
Queens Park v Arbroath 2-1
Raith Rovers v Morton 1-2

Inverness are struggling too, looks like they have a fair few injuries as couldn’t fill a bench Saturday and had someone go off injured. Great opportunity to go get another 3 points tomorrow. A draw would be decent but then would make the ayr game a must win imo
-
Maybe not the best idea to call a team meeting and leave the computer unlocked with it projected onto a screen with a list of players you are releasing at end of the season when it’s mid February

Spot on mate. Otoo and Todd winning midfield changed us. It made Paul Allan better too.
Hopefully when any of the 3 centre backs come back, a midfield 3 of Hamilton otoo and Todd 😍
-
Never saw that coming. What a difference having a midfield that can press the opposition and can make runs to get forward. Matty Todd is just too important to the team, as is having Otoo in midfield he was MOTM tonight absolutely solid. Kane again with another great shift upfront. Got away with the 2 offside calls but need a bit of luck, hopefully it’s the start of a wee run of wins

So hopefully a CB still to come in then

Hearing Comrie is now on crutches. Explains this signing as seems more of a RB

Partick Th v Dunfermline Ath (14/3250) 2-1
Sat 14th Feb
Arbroath v Inverness CT 1-3
Ayr Utd v Raith Rovers 1-1
Dundee Utd v Queens Park 3-1
Morton v Airdrie 2-2

He also said Joe chalmers is the best player at the club 🤣🤣🤣
-
Really hope we stick with the back 4. Team looks so uncomfortable playing the back 5
-
Point I was trying to make is that they have a sporting director who’s hands on and is here. We rely on ours via zoom calls and is barely here

Do you think that there was no-one at our club regularly in touch with Ashcroft, trying to get the deal across the line?
Probably, but after the 3rd player that’s picked raith over us, can’t just be a coincidence
-
Interesting reading the courier and Ashcroft saying potter was a huge reason he went there, always on the phone making him feeling wanted and that’s what got it over the line. Yet our sporting director is barely in the country and does zoom calls once a week 🤣
-
They won’t be doing a supporters meeting anytime soon, only like doing it when there’s a positive on the pitch. Like others said far too many questions would be asked that they wouldn’t like

Rovers are signing Ashcroft as per the courier

Agree regarding Mcpake’s cautious approach so another draw on the cards. Hopefully Morton get a result against Inverness
