SanguinePar Posted March 4, 2019 Report Share Posted March 4, 2019 Dreadfully sad news today about Keith Flint, singer and dancer from The Prodigy who has died, apparently by suicide, at the age of 49. Fans of the band will remember Keith as the no-holds-barred figure whose manic dancing and snarling vocal style helped redefine the band's sound as they moved away from their early roots in rave culture to a harder edged sound with tunes like Breath and Firestarter. Even before his transformation into a kind of deranged cyber-punk icon though, Keith was iconic for his sense of fun and often frantic dance moves in the videos for early classics such as Everybody in the Place and Out of Space. I was lucky enough to catch The Prodigy one last time at the SECC recently and Keith was giving it his all, as always. There was no hint that he was going through troubled times, making today's news all the more shocking. RIP Keith, and thanks for the memories, you mad legend.
