Vinnie
Three year deal. Personally I think this is a bit premature. United have just lost two games on the bounce, games that they really needed to win to keep alive their European hopes. Teams have a bit of a bounce when a new gaffer comes in, while two defeats isnt a disasterous run, they needed to stay in the FA Cup, as fall back against failing to qualify via the league, and they needed to beat Arsenal to remain in contention for the Champions League. Its a premature appointment, on the basis that if Solskjaer cant lift them to halt this run now, Id suggest he cant cut it.

DougieDave
He’s Manchester United through and through and a decent man - he’s done well so far so he gets my vote....
Vinnie
I dont dispute hes done well so far. United have had that bounce in form that tends to come with a change of manager. Its how he manages the dip in results. Next two games are Watford at OT, and Wolves away (again). If they struggle against Watford, perhaps they arent making the strides folk think they are? Incidently, Id like the guy to do well, Im not convinced hes United manager material. Failed at Cardiff, and his time at Molde wasnt really cutting his teeth in a major league. A club legend doesnt make a great manager necessarily. Souness at Liverpool, Shearer at Newcastle, Solari at Real Madrid this season, McCoist at Sevco. Vinnie
4 defeats in last 3 - twice against Wolves. No game this weekend, plenty of time to prepare for Barcelona in eight days. Big performance needed or it could be a very long very hard night for United

Will Man U win another game between now and the end of the season, I ask you? Maybe the derby v City.

Vinnie
I wonder, how would Ole's record as manager stack up over the whole league season? I really wouldnt be surprised if United are back channel searching for a new manager.
Teuchter
Somebody dubbed today's game the future derby of clubs that have sacked Solskjaer. Depending on what happens next season, obviously, his first few months in the job could serve as a text book example of a new manager bounce. Apparently the Cardiff fans today were singing "You're just a s**t Neil Warnock" at Old. Ouch.
Vinnie
Solskjaer took over at about the midway point of the season? So if you doubled the number of points won under his leadership, where would United have been in the table? Can imagine that United fans are feeling the same way as Pars fans at the minute?........... Club legend takes charge, really want him to succeed, not completely convinced by his record, hope the poor results are due to inheriting someone elses squad, unsure if they trust the manager in the transfer market, but want to give him every opportunity to be a success.
