SanguinePar
Day one today of the biggest battle for the smallest trophy! Very poor start for the Aussies too, by the looks of it, 5 down already for only just over 100 runs. Anyone watching? Have the Aussies been bad or England good? Vinnie
I believe the humid weather conditions will aid swing and spin so I expect the bowlers will dominate. Theory proven by the relatively low scoring of England vs Ireland recently.
SanguinePar
Well, the Aussies seem to have fought back ok, 253/9, with Smith getting his 100 as all around him fell. Interesting to see how England's openers do, if they have an hour or two to play tonight.

When I posted before I hadn't realised that it was 8-122 at one point though! Will depend what England do today - 88/1 at the moment but not sure if conditions are different for them. Vinnie
I think the weather conditions are fairly similar to yesterday. I think that Englands batsmen have learnt a lesson from yesterday, like the way the pitch is playing, how the ball was pitching and the like. At the moment, it looks like Roots and Burns have got their eyes in and have been slowly cultivating their innings, rather than chasing shots or forcing runs. Vinnie
Looks like its ending in a draw? England can bat all day I think, nearly 400 in a day is a tough ask

An injured Jimmy Anderson (and Woakes) trying to hang on for the best part of 50 overs. Not a question of if, but when, surely.
