DougieDave
12-20 March: CAFE Week of Action This week it’s the CAFE Week of Action 2022 for disability awareness, run simultaneously in dozens of countries by CAFE (Centre for Accessibility to Football in Europe). The CAFE Week of Action is supported every year by DAFC and DADSC (Dunfermline Athletic Disabled Supporters’ Club), and at half-time during the Morton match on Friday evening there will be some special activities trackside, at the corner of the Norrie and North-west Stands. We’ll be welcoming to EEP a squad of disabled athletes from Fife Athletics Club, including local Paralympian gold-medallist Owen Miller MBE. Last year Owen won the T20 1500m gold medal at Tokyo, and you can see his fantastic gold medal run HERE. Owen will be joined trackside by Jim Leishman MBE, after which all the athletes will parade in front of the North Stand – we know the Pars fans will show appreciation for their efforts. And if you’re watching on ParsTV don’t miss the footage at half-time about the CAFE Week of Action and the athletes, filmed at Pitreavie. Stanza
The half-time show put together by Jordan Burt and his ParsTV team is really excellent, so don't miss it. Even if you're watching the match on BBC, switch over to ParsTV if you can to see cracking interviews with Owen Miller, Pamela Robson of Disability Sports Fife and DAFC's Disability Access Officer Graham Ross, as well as highlighting DAFC's commitment to disabled fans.
