IpswichPar Posted March 5, 2016 Report Share Posted March 5, 2016 Thankfully it looks like Osborne's plans to raise retirement age again have been put on ice. Talk of it being increased to 75. That being said, he seems to have adopted the tactic of spreading worrying stories to reduce reaction on what he really wants to get through.Hopefully I'll still be in a position to have a choice around 55-60 about stopping or keeping going. 75 is way too old for a pension to kick in. This is because I reckon the retirement age will be something mad like 80 by the time I'm due to retire. Think it's just going to increase. Luckily though I plan to live to well over 100.
