Each to their own, but I'm struggling to think of a worse performance under either of them. Heavier defeats, certainly, but I don't remember being as simultaneously despondent and bored as I was today.

Said the same on the way out, worse than anything we had under Grant or Hughes IMO. Just inexplicably awful. Almost makes me worried that there's problems behind the scenes or something. Absolutely turgid stuff. They could pay me to go to Kirkcaldy next week and I'd still not fancy it.

Interesting read that. I have to admit that he's not a player I've really been all that aware of or knowledgeable about, but by the sounds of it he's one I should have been familiar with. Sad news, RIP Jim.

Stein is a football legend, certainly, but IMO you can't really bring his reputation or later achievements into it when considering if he's a 'Dunfermline legend'. On the other hand, I would consider him a Dunfermline legend, both for the cup win and the end of season run which prevented relegation a year or two prior to that, so what do I know? :-)

Good that they're doing this, but: I wonder if this was always planned (I doubt it, tbh), or if it's a response to supporter dissatisfaction over the original change. Assuming it was planned, I hope the wider lesson is learned that they need to communicate this stuff to the fans well in advance, canvas opinion, take and respond to feedback - and not just about what the changes should be, but whether to make them at all. It's a shame there's no info on the location or nature of this new installation - will it be in the same place as the old wall, will it have equivalent area, etc? It's also a shame there's no acknowledgement of the dissatisfaction caused by the original change, far less an apology. I see the Centenary Club are funding it - that's generous, but had the original change not happened, maybe that money could have been used for something else. They've spelled Kozma wrong.

My take is they gave it as a (highly questionable) foul, then noticed it was offside and thought, "oh let's just say it was that". Probably the right decision, but a real kick in the teeth.
