  1. Carbondale, Illinois showing off a bit - also, they were in the line of the last total eclipse in 2017, jammy devils...
  2. Breathtaking stuff - pretty jealous of the people of Russellville, Arkansas right now! Next total eclipse in the UK is... 2090... baws.
  3. If Rovers and Pars both beat them, that'll at least partially close the goal diff gap. Especially if we could win by 2 or 3, that'd be a huge swing.
  4. Yeah, that was the reason I felt it would be better if fans were on the pitch. Obviously that's not feasible, but it's a shame, would have been fun. Could imagine kids (and big kids) having a wee kickabout on the EEP surface too.
  5. I do wish they'd get the apostrophes sorted though... 🙄
  6. It might be if it was the only way to see the game, but there's still all the usual options too. People can just decide whether they think it's worth it or not, and if not they can stay home or go to the pub.
  7. Agree with all of that, especially about staff being paid. That, plus the costs of hiring the big screens, etc means this was never going to just be a token price. Good to see there's an option to buy all 3 matches for what would work out at £11.66 per match. The real rub will be what is charged for food and drinks. It'll likely be pricier than in local pubs, but hopefully not too much more. I just hope the club get the fundamentals right in terms of the technology, the catering infrastructure and the ticketing. The last thing we need is people having a bad experience (especially missing any of the football itself) and getting aggro about it.
  8. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c9rvv5769kno Jack Morris, who spent time at Dunfermline, Rovers and Cowden. Bizarre career trajectory, but good luck to him :-)
  9. Not really, it changed when the ref gave us a penalty. Up until that very little had changed.
  10. Well done to the Warriors who have stumbled their way to the League 2 title with five draws in a row, after their electric start to the season seemed to stutter badly. First title they've ever won, absolutely delighted for them. Used to live in Stenhousemuir, and my first ever football match was in the home end at Ochilview... against the Pars, funnily enough.
  11. Chalmers was alright. Made some mistakes, but played a number of really good passes too. Sad to hear the more moronic element of EEP jeering him as he went off. Certainly did more than Moffat who barely put a foot right when he came on.
  12. Yeah, agreed, no chance of it - in an ideal world though, it would probably be better that way.
  13. FFS look at that wind! Silky football will not be the order of the day, if it happens at all :-)
  14. I love this idea, will definitely consider coming over for it. Agreed with Grant's point about having TVs in the concourse, and I hope they'll aim for as big a screen as possible, as the artist's impression looks a bit small to me. Not sure what the situation will be re having a beer in the stand during the match - obviously not allowed at matches, but would this count? In a way, I wonder if it might be better to have the screen in the stand and the fans on the pitch, but not sure what the grounds people would think of that :-)
  15. Hopefully Morton and Airdrie draw, but even if one of them win, at least it costs the other one. And same for Ayr and Morton. And then if Dundee Utd and Rovers can hopefully take maximum points off those 3 teams, then we should be in with a good chance. Most important thing IMO is not to lose to Airdrie, although obviously a win would be best. Hopefully we get the job done v Partick and then they help us out against Airdrie and Ayr too.
  16. 0-0 but Arbroath had a penalty saved not long before HT, which is a shame. Mon the Lichties!
  17. Very glad that everyone bar us still has to play the top two, and that the title race looks likely to go to the wire. Fingers crossed for full points for Utd and Rovers all the way to the end now!
  18. Yep. The one thing I would say is that after Arbroath's seconds, we didn't completely collapse or panic, which some of our previous iterations definitely would have.
  19. I'd certainly hope not. Really poor. Will take the win though.
  20. For anyone heading up to Arbroath tomorrow by train - the 10:48 leaving from Inverkeithing has been cancelled, so make sure to get an earlier or later one!
  21. Damn, I forgot Kelty. I'm not counting non SPFL teams though ;-)
  22. He's just the Rovers job to get now and he'll have completed his Fife employment bingo!
  23. He's fabulous, would love to see him sign permanently. Great to have him, Bene, Fisher and Breen all in about the squad now, allowing Otoo and Hamilton to finally play where they're most effective.
