  1. Not really, it changed when the ref gave us a penalty. Up until that very little had changed.
  2. Well done to the Warriors who have stumbled their way to the League 2 title with five draws in a row, after their electric start to the season seemed to stutter badly. First title they've ever won, absolutely delighted for them. Used to live in Stenhousemuir, and my first ever football match was in the home end at Ochilview... against the Pars, funnily enough.
  3. Chalmers was alright. Made some mistakes, but played a number of really good passes too. Sad to hear the more moronic element of EEP jeering him as he went off. Certainly did more than Moffat who barely put a foot right when he came on.
  4. Yeah, agreed, no chance of it - in an ideal world though, it would probably be better that way.
  5. FFS look at that wind! Silky football will not be the order of the day, if it happens at all :-)
  6. I love this idea, will definitely consider coming over for it. Agreed with Grant's point about having TVs in the concourse, and I hope they'll aim for as big a screen as possible, as the artist's impression looks a bit small to me. Not sure what the situation will be re having a beer in the stand during the match - obviously not allowed at matches, but would this count? In a way, I wonder if it might be better to have the screen in the stand and the fans on the pitch, but not sure what the grounds people would think of that :-)
  7. Hopefully Morton and Airdrie draw, but even if one of them win, at least it costs the other one. And same for Ayr and Morton. And then if Dundee Utd and Rovers can hopefully take maximum points off those 3 teams, then we should be in with a good chance. Most important thing IMO is not to lose to Airdrie, although obviously a win would be best. Hopefully we get the job done v Partick and then they help us out against Airdrie and Ayr too.
  8. 0-0 but Arbroath had a penalty saved not long before HT, which is a shame. Mon the Lichties!
  9. Very glad that everyone bar us still has to play the top two, and that the title race looks likely to go to the wire. Fingers crossed for full points for Utd and Rovers all the way to the end now!
  10. Yep. The one thing I would say is that after Arbroath's seconds, we didn't completely collapse or panic, which some of our previous iterations definitely would have.
  11. I'd certainly hope not. Really poor. Will take the win though.
  12. For anyone heading up to Arbroath tomorrow by train - the 10:48 leaving from Inverkeithing has been cancelled, so make sure to get an earlier or later one!
  13. Damn, I forgot Kelty. I'm not counting non SPFL teams though ;-)
  14. He's just the Rovers job to get now and he'll have completed his Fife employment bingo!
  15. He's fabulous, would love to see him sign permanently. Great to have him, Bene, Fisher and Breen all in about the squad now, allowing Otoo and Hamilton to finally play where they're most effective.
  16. Yeah, looked like Mehmet was fouled when he tried to take the high ball. Amazing that he's now saved 3 in a row! What a result, and ICT only getting a point. We're getting there... Also, Dundee United apparently determined to throw the league away. It'd be funny if it didn't help Rovers.
  17. Halftime thought - is this the most ethnically diverse XI we've ever had out? Five non-white players today, in MFW, MWH, Otoo, KRH and Jak. Can't think of us ever having had so many black players on the pitch at the same time.
  18. Managed to get a much better view of it via Pars TV. Last 10-15 minutes of the half I thought we looked ok, Hamilton should have got more power in his shot from the edge, good work from Jak to set that up. A few tasty challenges going in, especially that one on Hamilton, followed by the KRH one, glad he wasn't injured there.
  19. Anyone watching the SPFL stream? It's almost impossible to see what's going on, and the automatic camera keeps losing the ball! 😀
  20. Exactly what I thought, strongest team we've had all year. Fingers crossed.
  21. Given that Morton absolutely murdered us 5-0 at EEP only a few weeks ago I hope JMP is at least giving some consideration to them.
  22. Get it right mate, it's actually CPSBDTUK.
  23. Stadium naming rights. At least they know what they got for it, unlike us. Or, actually, looks like they're kit sponsors too, so may be that.
  24. Could be wrong, but I think they have a "one player per club" rule on that.
  25. It's to their benefit versus getting nothing. It's to their net deficit when compared to other clubs getting significantly more money than them. My argument is that having a many live games, and in this case Friday night games, is to the overall detriment of the league and it serves, overall to entrench and expand the gaps between clubs, leading to a more or less paralysed system where clubs are pretty much trapped at their level. You only have to look at the dominance of Celtic and both Rangers since live TV matches became so much more common to see the effect it has. Realistically no-one who isn't one of them is likely to win the league in the next 20 years at least. And even if the clubs beneath them get the crumbs off the table, it's hardly to their benefit in terms of ever having a chance to close the gap.
