Was the thought of many today. Think there were 4 in total today. 1 at the away end, 1 at the NW at the start and 1 when we equalised, which all made the pitch. 1 in the NW went off in the middle at the corner flag end. Guy sitting next to me in the Norrie was worried, as his laddie sits in that section. Yi dinnae want a flare near your eyes, or anywhere near your pus. Worse if you inhale it . I'm assuming it was 13/14 year olds, who probably don't care if it does get shut. Maybe the club could do their own flare/pyrotechnics type thing behind the goals at kick off, to maybe save them the urge to do it. Can't be expensive if the neds can afford it. Or maybe try and catch them.

4th would be a successful season. Obviously we'd get done in the Play Offs, but for an injury ravaged side it would be an acceptable finish

Raith did what they had to do today, which was create enough chances to win. We might have been capable of snatching a draw against a one legged, unfit goalie, had we tested him a bit more. Judging by the table, we got a scrap on our hands to get the 4th placed berth now. McPake still the man to take us forward, but we need to try get some winner's in our squad soon. Wighton and Mehmet are not.

Looking like Murray tactics are spot on. Cross it into 6 yard box, as the goalie is suspect. Should be scooping that ball up at that pace.

We have to beat them at some point. Probably need to be at our best and be clinical in front of their goal. I ken, tall order. I'm going for 3-3 draw, 7 bookings, referee losing control, flares launched at both ends and Pars fans singing a new song, for a New Year.

Ayr are definitely unpredictable,as they've lost a few more games than us. Whatever happens on the day, we stay 4th. Difficult game to predict, as we can be hot and cold just now.

A draw away from home would be a decent result. Would keep us in 4th, then hopefully get a few in after New Year.

Nothing changed in the table from last week, apart from Raith moving further away. Arbroath must be kicking themselves for losing a goal so late. McIntyre should be fining the player sent off, as Sky posted it was for abusive behaviour.

The defeat hasn't altered our position today, although looking like 4th will be the only Play Off berth available if we can hit some form. Never made the game today, so no idea how well, or unwell we played. I was maybe a bit quick to congratulate Utd on winning the Championship. Raith seem to be on fire just now, compared to the PR disaster of 2 years ago.

I always thought Hampden would've made a nice Tesco, retail park , or an affordable housing scheme. I reckon they'll stay up this season, as I think Arbroath are doomed. I'm sure appointing a new manager will be a dawdle, there's so many to choose from.
