  1. If Dick had been still around, he would have been trying to get the crowd on the players back. I really expect a reaction from us. We really should be beating them on Tuesday, otherwise we'll be needing an influx of players come the New Year.
  2. Home win guaranteed. Think I'll fire along on Tuesday night. 3-1
  3. Surprised at this news. Sounds like the whole backroom staff have been punted. Think Arbroath will regret this decision. As sure as ****e, can guarantee they will go down. Massive boost for Tuesday, with Dick not about to fire them up. I would imagine at 70, retirement is deserved, even though he has other business interests.
  4. Couple of shocks in the 3rd round. Arbroath beaten by Spartans, Hamilton beaten by Kelty. Ayr equalised in the 96th minute v Peterhead, currently extra time, same as Dundee United v QOS. Need to be winning on Tuesday against big Dick's lot.
  5. Our manager has done well since coming in. No way should his job should be under threat. It obvious we need a goalscorer. If we had been clinical and taken our chances last night, we'd have still been beaten. Hats aff to Raith, they played really good throughout the match. After the first 5 minutes, they looked determined to win it. That season we went down, we never looked like cannon fodder either, but still ended up losers. It really needs the board to take us to the next level.
  6. I really wished we could have emptied the place, with the player's who won us relegation, but we were obviously stuck with their contracts. Sam Stanton is correct, stating they were the better team. Moffat was the only player for us that looked like creating something for us. Hope this training ground pays dividends, otherwise the board have to find a better player to match the manager's ambition. Scoreline flattered us, should have been more. Penalty was never one, whether we had scored, don't think would have made a difference. Cmon the board, back the manager in the next window.
  7. I think it fair to say Raith are a better team than us just now. They will be favourites and rightly so. They've won double what we have and are 12 points ahead of us. Saying that, it wouldn't be a shock if we turn them over.
  8. I reckon if we take our chances, we should win. Hopefully inside of post, or underside of the bar. 1-1 ft . 3 -1 after extra time. Wighton could do with one, if selected. I'm going for 3 correct predictions in a row now 😆
  9. Congratulations on qualifying Scotland. An impressive start to a campaign, that I can't remember the great teams of the 70s and early 80s achieving with a few games to spare. Steve Clarke has a decent workmanlike team playing for him. Find it hard to believe Lyndon Dykes has more caps and goals than Steve Archibald , but there yi go. Different eras.
  10. Listening on the radio, they were saying a smash n grab first half, followed by I can't believe Dunfermline are a goal down. Happy with a point, when it was looking like a defeat so late in the game. Sounds like we need a finisher up front. Tight league just now, outwith United and Rovers.
  11. Score draw. Ferguson will keep them up this season.
  12. The original cassette recording had John Lennon vocal and a piano. The piano was too loud, so they couldn't use it. With the new tech, they've completely removed piano and are left with the voice. Luckily there was no effects on the vocal, like reverb or delay, so it was perfect for adding after being split. I think the song is decent. They had to add a slide geetar on top of George Harrison original, as obviously he no longer here. I've heard another band using this technology recently, so it definitely going to catch on. Btw you can separate any instrument with it, but not the effects which were originally on it. Lots of bands in the studio used tape before digital transfer, so end of reel tapes stretch, so have to adjust the tempo. I wonder if F Mercury has any auld cassettes kicking about?
  13. Tight as at the bottom half of the division. Raith seem to like scoring late, 2 goals in the dying stages, with a man already sent off. Big Duncan making a real go of it at ICT. He won't be there long if he keeps it up. We needing to be a bit more consistent to climb the table. Utd and Rovers are out of sight for us catching them, even at this stage. 3rd or 4th achievable if we hit form.
  14. Just watched that sober. Stonewall penalty for push on McCann.
  15. 1-2 Dundee United. Sorry, but can't see their unbeatable run ending tomorrow. I'd be happy with a point.
  16. At home 1979 v Clydebank. I loved the shiny red away top. Clydebank one no bad also. Oh! We got beat 1-3… I remember being at this.
  17. That magical day in the late 80s. Rangers had some class players then. Roberts was a cynical bassa though.
  18. Most important result of the season so far.
  19. Had a feeling it would be televised. Friday night football is ****e. It will definitely knock the attendance down. I wish the clowns in charge would **** them aff.
  20. I reckon we'll win this, as we badly need the result.
  21. Actually a great draw to make amends.
  22. We at home to Raith .Blame Scott Brown.
  23. Mibbae Forfar. I hope we get Sauchie Juniors away, would fancy our chances.
  24. Jock Stein after the 2-2 draw v USSR at Spain 82. Watched a re-run a few years ago. Should have been game over by half time, winning by at least 3. Wasn't at the game yesterday, but sounds like a smash and grab. Its a tough league this season. Still a long way to go yet.
  25. I remember that, but the majority wanted to keep the unbeaten run going.
