Wighton is ten times the footballer Faiss will ever be. He only scored those goals because he had Moffat , Paton and Cardle creating chance after chance for him. All of those had either double figures for goals or assists that year.

If you were to offer me a choice between the two, I'd pick Wighton every day and twice on Sunday. Then I'd invite Faiss back for another go and pick Wighton again to make sure he got the message.

The football was far different from 2015/16 but I've enjoyed this season way more. There is a different feeling about this team that they have got a chance of doing something together. Look at the togetherness with the fans for a start. The pictures from the POTY says it all for me. Fiass couldn't even be bothered to turn up to collect his, instead deciding to flounce off in the huff making up stories about a prebooked holiday because he didn't get to play in front of his mum.

Agree with every word of that.

  2. I’d have Gowser back for pre-season.  Rarely gave the ball away but clearly not as fit as he would like post injury.  Might be different with a full pre-season under his belt.  Guess it depends who else is available in that position.

  3. Presuming that the Pars will vote against the creation of a Conference League and the inclusion of B teams within it?

Or at least canvas fans for our views that I would imagine would be overwhelmingly for ‘No’.

  4. Hoping that McPake finds a place for him in the starting 11 on Saturday. Or failing  that ensures he gets a good run out off the bench.  Given his last touch of the hall was the opener at Peterhead it’s seems a bit harsh he has never got on the pitch since.  Especially in the QOS game.  Given he may not be here next season it would be good to see him get a big reception given all his important goals this season.

May need his height in the team anyway with no Bene or Breen!

When he first signed under Craw he had his most prolific scoring period of his career until numpty number 1 was appointed in the summer.

If you've written him off at championship level, there's clearly some kind of agenda. He's been there, done it.

Him and O’Hara formed a very good partnership at that time. At the top end of the Championship. Always felt improving strikers was one of the Craws great strengths.

  6. Hopefully we are in line for a bumper crowd on Saturday. It will be interesting to see if the Club come up with a decent PR/Marketing campaign to help shift tickets.  It would be great to see the NE or even the East Stand opened for Pars fans as it would help generate a bit of atmosphere at that end of the ground.  NW already looking like it has limited seats left.

Based on attendances this season and the home crowd against F*lkirk in particular there isn’t any reason we shouldn’t see 7k+….

That’s interesting.  Wasn’t included in the notes that Digs put up on here following the supporters club meeting and first I’d heard that.  Would be a bizarre statement to make.  Nonetheless great news for the club ahead of a couple of crucial weeks for this season!

Saw that somewhere but pretty sure it was tongue in cheek.

Unless the club has been told/warned, this is their last chance before a stand closure is enforced.  Let’s face it, the SFA/Police would love to have an example to show up to the rest of Scottish football to make others behave, and we would be an easy target.

In reality we must understand that you can’t have fans chucking shoes onto a pitch(for example) and not expect heavy sanctions being imposed on us.  Let’s take a breath here, take it for that one game and not allow behaviour of a few wee fuds acting up for their pals to ruin it for everyone else.

    Far too sensible a post.

According to the article in the Falkirk Herald maybe even worse.  They are hemorraging money and there is absolutely no way that it is sustainable.  They have gambled on winning promotion by throwing money at it.  The only problem is that they backed a donkey.

It’s a crazy gamble.  It’s not like the Championship is that big a financial prize.  In theory if they went up and we didn’t and Dundee Utd didn’t get relegated then there aren’t really any money spinning games for them.  Even with those games it doesn’t wipe out that loss.  Beating Ayr will be huge for them if they then get one of the OF.
