We're 5 points clear, have the best defensive record in Scotland (possibly the UK), undefeated at home and have went nearly halfway through the season with only one league loss without seemingly getting out of second gear. We do have to improve though as we have ridden our luck on occasions, other teams will improve and will adjust their game plans to ours and the squad is paper thin, loss of form and injuries are inevitable, hoping that James McPake has a good transfer window in January so that we can get a bit more depth in the squad. If you had asked me if I would have taken the position we are in now before the season started I would have bitten your hands off.

I would recommend Braunschweig especially in section 7 of the Südkurve where the ultras are. Wolfsburg felt a bit sterile and over commercialised imo when I watched the mens' games. Atmosphere was much better at the women's match I watched a couple of years ago, perhaps because it is a smaller stadium and Wolfsburg Frauen are dominant in Germany. There are absolutely ****loads of amateur clubs in Germany also so if you do a German trip you could probably watch a match every day.

I looked back at the previous seasons in League 1 other than the covid affected years. If we collect points at our current rate we will end the season on 70 points which has only been good enough to top the table twice.

Burton Albion are a team I follow because of a family connection. I really wouldn't class them as better. Have really struggled so far this season. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink got a lot of criticism for apparently preferring to work for the media than doing his job and jumped before he was pushed. Losing narrowly to Fleetwood in their last match was seen as not too bad a result.
