  1. The Board haven't backed him as they should imo. He's not a bad Manager. Regarding the Board, f**k knows.
  2. Rovers really annoyed me this season, especially the club social media having a dig at us. I should know better, but it's irritating. I think we'll start to pick up points again. I hope we make the play offs, and I'd take this lot with glee. I think we'd smash them.
  3. Singing along to Gordon Rowan.
  4. Gordon Rowan playing Charlie D's tomorrow pre-match. COYP
  5. Some discussion about him being 5ft 9" and a CB, but also plays right back. Hopefully a good signing. Welcome aboard.
  6. Not so far (as far as I'm aware). It was a private meeting too so it'll be difficult to get reliable feedback. However, hopefully the clubs accounts will tell us something relating to the financial concerns fans had regarding if they were right or way out. I've said it from Day 1, whatever debt we have, as long it's covered by the Board then fine. I don't think any banks are involved as we had no credit facilities after Masterton (although that might have changed). The previous regime under Ross McArthur had returned a small operating profit every season except one if I remember correctly. Financial prudence was essential at that time, and I'd like that to be an inherent part of our clubs business model. I'm sure the present Board are of that opinion too as their plans for the club have to be realistic and sustainable. Some of the stuff I've heard gave me concerns over the last few month, but there's good reasons for not splattering any of that all over the Internet. Could be because it's nonsense, it could because its been in confidence etc.
  7. Difficult game to call for numerous reasons, most of them obvious. I'm heading along to the game and after 2 or 3 jars I'll be feeling brave to predict a win, just not predicting the result just now.
  8. We absolutely do need them now.
  9. Yeah seen that. Raith are sitting in a much better position than us tbf. But I was hoping McPakes Dundee connection thingy might have influenced the situation.
  10. I think we'll give a reasonable account of ourselves against them. I still believe McPake is capable of preparing a team, making tactical changes during games and lifting a team at half time. I'll go for a cautious draw, 2-2 each.
  11. Why did you think that? Did Geordie fae Wellwood tell ye?
  12. I think the club has a responsibility to report back to the wider fanbase on this meeting. Transparency should be an inherent part of the clubs culture. The Board are running the club so therefore they're accountable.
  13. Good luck for the future.
  14. Significant financial loss in League 1 if rumours are to be believed. Also a projected loss this year 2023/2024 too (again if rumours are to be believed). However, that's not to say it's losses that they were actually expecting and have plans in place to service any accumulated losses. The problem is it's not actually been a real strength of the Board breaking down the details of their high level plans so fans can understand what's actually going on. I think that's probably why certain shareholders are imploring attendance at the meeting on the 30th of January. Tbh, I'm all for more transparency.
  15. My train of thought at the time was, another game off, the usual unsubstantiated points of view being splattered about the place would now follow. Another piece of news like this could add to the frustration of some influential Pars supporters who are alledgedly not happy with aspects of how we're being run. All chat, might be load of sh*te.
  16. Not sure when the meeting is. But let's just see what it brings. I hope all is good.
  17. No, the bigger picture, this season overall so far.
  18. There won't be a 'pile on', and don't be a cheeky hoor. Let me clarify: the way this season has gone it could be interpreted by anyone with an interest in Dunfermline that things aren't maybe being managed effectively. I'm hearing some influential people aren't too happy with how things are just now. Let's see what the shareholders meeting brings.
