  1. I seen that pish by the PST, Meggle and Drew Main over at St Pauli to learn about fan engagement. Of the f*ckin irony with that.
  2. It's a pretty poor situation given we've been trying to get this player in. Fair play if what we're offering isn't suiting him but it's like we're not too great at closing deals. It is pretty annoying if it's Rovers who end up getting him.
  3. I'm heading through but I'm not too hopeful of a huge result favouring us. Best we will achieve is probably a draw.
  4. I'd say maybe there's a lack effective leadership, maybe club strategy not being clear or understood by all at the club. Who knows apart from those who are working there. Telling some Patrons all is covered and all it's okay a couple of weeks ago may not be enough to dampen the constant rumours or indeed put out fires. Where are the Board exactly?
  5. I don't think his time is up, not yet anyway. He got us up and he's had a huge problem to deal with regarding injuries. Yes, we should be playing much better and given one of our strengths last year was resilience that seems to have evaporated, I find that confusing. I think it's reasonable to question why so many players are injured, it's one hell of a dollop of bad luck if that's all it's been. I don't think McPake is a bad manager, I think there's enough about him to do at least a competent job as a minimum. I think there's more to it all behind the scenes. Is he receiving the right level of support and mentoring from Meggle and Cook for instance?, what is the morale like about the club just now?, If I were to believe half of what I've heard, then it can't be great. I think it's potentially telling or concerning that influential people like Stephen Taylor and Greg Shields have stood down or left their posts so far this season. Yes I know that reads like I'm stirring it and it's based on maybe hearsay, but it could be an indicator things aren't right. Let's see what these next 2 games bring and hopefully the players brought in can do something to improve the team and those close to fitness get back and give us a bit more stability and flair.
  6. Mr Taylor left, I just wonder if him leaving had anything to do with the rumoured 7 figure loss that's due for release. Speculation on my part of course.
  7. Is it his family who used to produce thon cheap plonk 80s birds liked?
  8. Would be a superb signing. Fingers 🤞
  9. I suspect there are issues, unfortunately none we can fix for McPake and I think things will come out in the wash soon enough For now I'm going on Saturday and I'm gonna give them my support as usual. If we win we'll know the fight back is on. When things get rough, get organised and get stuck in. COYP
  10. Now is exactly the time McPake will learn about himself and if he finds a way to improve things he will carry that experience with him for life. He's a young man in a high pressure position and he should be receiving support and mentoring from Cook and Meggle. There's only so much you can achieve with ambition and raw talent. Best thing supporters can do is get behind them. Support their efforts and we'll see where it takes us on Saturday.
  11. Yeah Ashcroft would be a good signing.
  12. I read more than post some days. Just depends.
  13. Thanks for pointing out what thread. I'd have continued to have missed it otherwise I was referring to the thread discussing who fans think is to blame for the 'rot' setting in. I've had a read and I see a post that quoted the original offending post which Secure Par deleted by himself. As for what I 'consider specifically bad' if I haven't personally read something I can't address it. I'm not sure any of us read every post, so again thanks for saving a job of trawling backwards through posts.
  14. I'd really appreciate if we kept the discussions a bit more up market than random tittle tattle shoved up on that Facebook page. I read your post and it screamed gossip to me.
  15. Regarding what's on Dafc.net, I've no idea what the offending thread said, but it does **** me off if there's tittle tattle nonsense being carried between forums. I'm not responsible for what goes on anywhere else, only here along with the other Admin guys and I haven't personally seen anything specifically bad directed at CEO David Cook on here.
  16. I'm blaming the Board and the CEO, certainly not McPake and the team at this time. I'm backing them, but it's becoming difficult.
  17. I'd imagine It's really hard to motivate players when you been scudded in the last 2 games and not picked up a win for ages. But there is enough talent in this squad to get results, its just a huge pity the injury situation has been so severe. It is down to McPake and McKay to find a way to give them enough confidence in the structure and tactics of the team for this game. I think there's been stuff been going on behind the scenes that's affected the management and the team. They look like they've given up and that does not fit with the resilient team of last season. Anyway, let's just hope we find some way of getting out of this hole soon, because we lose again the pressure will be huge and that can see us rooted to the bottom of the league. If that happens then I can see the Board reacting given relegation would be a potential reality.
  18. Overall our recruitment hasn't been too bad at all. We've a decent enough bunch of players. If we hadn't any injuries we wouldn't be in this situation.
  19. I think Chalmers can still do a job for us if we pick up a bit and have the right players along side him. He isn't a bad football player.
  20. Afraid not. Allan has done f**k all. Chalmers been involved but not good enough.
