  1. Really disappointed in the players’ attitude today. Timewasting at home when drawing is really not what we should be doing. Overall the game was poor and we’ve been served up some really bad fare at home this season. I agree with the manager that this is a big summer as there needs to be big improvements if we are going to challenge for promotion.
  2. Game day - for hopefully the last Saturday this season! I hope we have a real go at making this a fun game to watch. We’ve had to watch some really poor fare at East End this season with perhaps 3 good performances standing out in my mind. Perhaps an opportunity to give some of our cup winning reserve players a chance to shine?
  3. Game day! Sadly not the same excitement we might have wished for with a win last week but still plenty to play for. Despite ICT’s defeat last night relegation fears aren’t quite extinguished yet. Finishing in 5th place will bring in much needed revenue given disappointing cup runs. There’s also the small matter of avenging the humiliating 3-0 defeat during our nightmare run of injuries.
  4. Game day! It’s a huge game for our promotion playoff chances. Anything less than a win and we can forget it. Our recent record at Airdrie is decent and with most of our key players fit we’ve got a fair chance.
  5. I thought it was a fairly even game in terms of chances created. Chris Kane took his penalty well and a point keeps us in contention for the playoffs.
  6. Hammy hasn’t made it for today, hopefully he will be well for next week. A big game for the Pars, a win and we can forget about relegation playoffs and start thinking about promotion playoffs.
  7. A great 3 points for the Pars. Well done Miles for his first goal and Deniz for yet another penalty save. A couple of results to savour for for the Pars, could the playoffs still be reached?
  8. We’ll find out today if we’ve turned the corner and can look forward to consistent good performances with a near-fully fit squad. Hopefully a good win for the Pars to balance out the dreadful defeat last time out v Morton by picking up 9 of the 12 points on offer.
  9. Great performance, great goals and a great 3 points - shows what we can do with most of our players fit. Well done the Pars!
  10. Game day! Good luck to the Pars for today’s match - this is a big one as a clean sweep against Raith must be avoided. Chris Kane seems to be vitally important to the new style of play, so fingers crossed he’s fit.
  11. My optimism was well placed. We started the game like we really needed the win, the second half wasn’t the best for either team but a really important 3 points!
  12. Game day! I’m feeling a bit more optimistic about today’s game, the defence seems more settled and if we can add some goals then all will be well. There’s good news on the injury front with Kane and Bene added to the squad from Tuesday night, it feels like today could be the day we turn the corner.
  13. The club is also committed to paying over £2m in lease payments, presumably for the stadium and the training ground. Sustainability looks a long way off. It would be good to understand how this season’s losses will be funded. Another convertible loan from GmbH?
  14. Very disappointing numbers - it would be much better to see the trading numbers and the training ground as separate results to really understand what’s going on. The short term creditors have also shot up by more than 500,000 which is very worrying. There is reference to further support from GmbH but it seems to me they are responsible for most of the loss through disastrous managerial appointments and the expense for the training ground.
  15. Boy did we need that. All the bad luck this season paid back in disallowed Jags goals. Great to have Matty back!
  16. Game day and we can see how the Pars patchwork defence fairs against a dangerous Partick frontline lead by Brian Graham. There’s good news that there are 3 players available but it seems that another has fallen to the injury curse. This is going to be a very difficult evening for the Pars, probably best watched from behind the sofa. Hard times but we will get through this, eventually.
  17. Welcome to the Pars Miles. This clearly isn’t the plan A but that isn’t his fault and, while not playing much this season he does have 150 senior games under his belt. I imagine he goes straight into the starting 11 tomorrow. I feel this will be the last bit of business during the loan window.
  18. The first half was an improvement on the past 2 weeks but we were strangely subdued in the second half until the last 10 minutes when we had chances to win. Finally a change in formation and a player who actually understands how to play as the lone striker meant we could play a simpler style on a terrible pitch. Still not good enough against the bottom side but with 2 players due back next week hopefully that long overdue win isn’t too far away.
  19. Game day - normally an exciting moment but one filled with trepidation today. The optimism of 2 weeks ago has completely evaporated after 2 thumping defeats. The Pars are now in a relegation battle and facing a 9th game without a win. On the positive side, we face the team with the worst record and the only club with an injury record comparable to ours. Plus the addition of an experienced striker should help. The tide has to turn somewhere, hopefully the road to recovery starts today.
  20. Welcome to the Pars Chris. I remember seeing him play against us and he looked good that day. He’s spent most of his career in the Premiership but his goal record in this league is decent. A much needed experienced signing. Lee Ashcroft, or a defender with his profile should be next.
  21. Another shocking spineless performance today. This was the perfect opportunity to get things back on track as Queens Park are also a poor side. However for the second week in a row the opponents had a better game plan and delivered it better. Yes there is half a team out injured but there are still eleven out there and they must do better. Lose v Arbroath next week and we will be favourites to go down.
  22. Game day again but it’s difficult to look forward to this match with any enthusiasm after last week. It will be interesting to see what new injuries have been incurred in training this week in what has truly been a cursed season. The pitch was bad last week and can only have got worse due to recent rain. However the hope remains, perhaps this will be the start of the comeback.
  23. I’m not sure about this idea as it seems to be too harsh a punishment in rugby where it really unbalances the game for 10 minutes. I think the rule makers forget that the senior game is now a form of entertainment. I also think that there is way too much dissent these days but I don’t think this is the way to fix it.
  24. Really poor today, we got everything wrong and are in a relegation battle now. There’s a reason teams try to balance youth and experience, I can’t believe games like today do anything to improve inexperienced players. Morton will never have an easier game.
  25. Game day! This has the feeling of a really important match as a potential turning point. With 2 new players available a win today with 2 very winnable home games to follow the Pars are back in the playoff running.
