  1. I was hoping for a Match of the Day style scrutiny of the referee’s decision with multiple slow motion replays. From what we can see both could’ve been yellow rather than red. For O’Hara’s in particular the referee was so quick with the red, he should give himself a moment to consider. The 9 did well to hold on for a draw.
  2. Both goals very poor from a defensive perspective but Craig Wighton’s finish was very good - one more to hit 20 for the season. The highlights I really want to see are the red cards - were they justified?
  3. This could’ve been a really difficult match against the form team but thanks to last week the pressure is off. Does this mean the champagne football will continue or will it fall flat? There’s no doubt that playing a team that wants to attack suits us a lot better and Airdrie can’t afford to sit in.
  4. In James McPake’s interview before the QoS game he mentions Rhys Breen being out for the season but he’ll be back for pre-season. Perhaps a slip knowing he has re-signed for next season?
  5. Championees 🎶 Well done to James McPake, the coaching staff and all the players. That was an almost textbook journey to winning the league. The fans can relax and enjoy the last 3 games while the planning begins in earnest for next season.
  6. Kelty deserve a lot of credit for pioneering how the pyramid system should work. Their success over the past several years has been incredible and seems to have been influential in bringing the Junior leagues into the Senior structure.
  7. Congratulations Craig let’s hope he continues enjoying his football for at least the next 2 years. It’s good to see the squad coming together for next season. This process will probably accelerate once the league title is clinched.
  8. I generally agree with your opinion, although I think he could be played as a penalty box striker but he hasn’t scored 40 goals at Championship level. He’s only scored 34 league goals in his whole career and 12 have come this season in league 1.
  9. While I consider Craig Wighton is a talented player and hope to see him stay I disagree that he’s a proven goal scorer in the Championship. He’s only scored 15 goals at that level. Hopefully this season’s tally will become the norm going forward.
  10. We are almost certain to win the league now but I’d like us to do it the right way by winning on Saturday.
  11. This is a hugely important game. After 2 draws we play the bottom club and on paper there’s no better chance to get 3 of the 5 points we need. However our biggest flaw this season has been scoring against a side determined to sit in so a draw wouldn’t be a big surprise.
  12. What are the key tenets of the pro-Fife agenda? Free bridies on the NHS. Bluebell Polka as the new national anthem?
  13. 2 wins and 2 draws v Falkirk is very decent. The attendance was 3,000 on what we can get for a midweek fixture as well. Hopefully we can clinch the league on Tuesday night and have a party on Saturday.
  14. Great end to the half - hopefully carry that momentum into the second half!
  15. A bit surprised we’re going with that formation after last week but this is a different game so hopefully it works out. Todd being back is a boost.
  16. A win would be fantastic but I’d take a boring 0-0 right now as it gets us another game closer to the Championship. The objective for the season is way more important than an individual match.
  17. We were in total control first half but without creating enough chances. Second half was strangely subdued until the last 5 minutes when we showed all the urgency that we’d missed up to then. With Falkirk drawing we are at least 1 game closer to the title.
  18. Last Fife derby of the season, the first 3 were close games and this one will probably be the same. Hopefully the Pars take 3 points and get 1 game closer to winning the league.
  19. Congratulations Matty! He’s improved massively this season and if he keeps going the sky’s the limit. Hopefully this new contract means he’s with us for the long term but it guarantees we don’t lose him cheaply. James McPake’s future plans are slowly coming together. Who’s next?
  20. I think Rodri’s interview makes it clear that Spain had done no proper preparation for playing Scotland. The sense of entitlement oozing from him is nauseating - how dare a minor country use Spain’s dark arts against them. Very amusing.
  21. Thankfully this year there are so many deserving candidates and my vote goes to Kyle Benedictus. He has really embodied the success of the team for me with excellent defence and a will to win. His goals have been important and his leadership seems to have inspired those around him.
  22. The temptation to do everything to try to win the league in Grangemouth is huge but in our position we can afford to be patient. A full week between fixtures to prepare fully and pick up maximum points is the best strategy.
  23. Perhaps but it would be a real anticlimax!
  24. Another great 3 points - 11 more needed to truly put last year’s nightmare behind us. Craig Wighton the first Pars player to 10 league goals this season. Hopefully more to come.
  25. Interesting stats as clearly in football goals scored are more likely to lead to success but conceding goals doesn’t necessarily lead to entertainment. Is the a stat that measures entertainment? I know John McGlynn favours corners won as the most reliable measure of success but I think we all know his judgment is poor.
