  1. I’m not sure James McPake is quite ready for Jock Stein comparisons yet but he’s exceeded expectations so far. There is a clear strategy that will hopefully continue to yield good results.
  2. With the form of our attacking players his opportunities would have been limited here. Hopefully he gets plenty of minutes with Bonnyrigg and comes back in January with plenty of goals. It’s a good sign that our youngsters are in demand.
  3. Hopefully this experiment won’t be repeated - better to have no music than that assault on the ears.
  4. Great to see those goals again. The second makes football look like a simple game when done properly. I’m not sure O’Halloran’s run to control box celebration will catch on 😂
  5. Having displays like the legends wall is a celebration of the history of the club and has much more value than a cheap looking advert. It’s a big ground with plenty of other room for advertising. I’m fully supporting of the club raising revenue but this looks more like cultural vandalism.
  6. A brilliant performance today that deserved more than 3-1. We can only get better when the injuries clear up.
  7. Sounds like a good idea to try to bring in some more fans. If it’s successful then I would expect to see more themed days in future. There used to regularly be pipe bands playing back in the day.
  8. Well done Lewis McCann and the Pars. A great 3 points today, first away league win.
  9. Can the Pars bounce back from last week. Having 5 players back should help. I think a draw might be a good result today.
  10. A pointless tournament since the League Cup group stage was reintroduced. We avoided humiliation with 10 players missing against their strongest side. Can now focus on the important stuff.
  11. Another great result for Scotland last night. I’m always expecting a slip-up where the national team is concerned but it would take a calamity to not qualify from this position!
  12. Surely the fact that Dick Campbell wanted him is sufficient proof he’s not lazy? He simply wouldn’t tolerate a player not pulling his weight. I thought that Wighton (and others) looked demotivated under the previous regime and that’s not surprising if his boss is berating him in front of his colleagues.
  13. It’s great to hear he got 76 minutes run out. Hopefully back on the bench for Saturday to build up some more match fitness. He can call me on after an hour when we’re 3-0 up 😂
  14. How he’s still in his position is mind boggling, his behaviour and the Spanish FA’s response seems to completely disregard their duty of care to the women’s team in what should be their greatest moment. A massive own goal.
  15. A disappointing result today but it’s our first home league defeat in over a year. We looked sluggish in the first half when Raith doubled up on us in the wide areas. Second half we really work them with several of their players out on their feet but we just couldn’t create the chances.
  16. Game day - hoping for a big win today in a proper derby. With Breen and McCann back there are options available. I’d bring McCann in for O’Halloran and keep the rest the same.
  17. Using hindsight, the club has had 2 great transfer windows under James McPake. Hopefully this one will turn out to have been just as successful.
  18. A terrific result with 5 first team players out injured. Really disappointing to lose a goal so late on but that could prove to be a crucial point come the end of the season. Lewis McCann and Rhys Breen will be back for the next game and, hopefully, will be joined by another couple of new signings.
  19. This is a brilliant idea - not sure how I missed seeing it on Saturday. Well done to whoever thought this up and delivered it, I’m sure the wee-est Pars fans will love it!
  20. I really enjoyed the game today. It had the feel of a cup tie with both teams giving their all, some eccentric refereeing and a fantastic winning goal. So important to get off to a winning start. Well done the Pars!
  21. I think we were hard done by today. We started the game slowly and gave away a soft goal. After the first 20 minutes I thought we were the better team. Murray should have been sent off for a very reckless challenge. Killie were better at taking their chances. We are short of players but I thought Tod looks like a great prospect.
  22. I think there is a better way to provide merchandise options than introducing a third kit. Simple have a range of training kit / leisurewear rather than an actual kit. We are a community football club, not a cash cow and there should be limits to our marketing activity. We probably won’t all agree where those limits should be but a third kit for no reason is just not needed.
  23. I agree - there’s no need for a third kit. I don’t like to he look of it either.
  24. A fairly regulation win over what looked like a poor Annan side. The biggest news is that injury to Matty Todd - looked like his ankle and could be out for a while. Lewis McCann in good scoring form, hopefully his injury isn’t too serious.
  25. It’s good that clubs are interested in our younger players and playing regularly will give Sam great experience. I’d have hoped he could get a club in League 2 but would trade that for him getting more regular game time.
