  1. Tbf sometimes there's just not allot to discuss after a win, we'll all agree that was good, really good in fact. We all enjoyed it, happy days! With that there's sometimes not much to say.
  2. Hughes got allot of stick for his claim that getting scudded by Morton could be the best thing, we've done no bad since then though. Martin and Donaldson conceded five that day, had two clean sheets since.
  3. That would've been the pixelot feed mate, it goes to gambling websites which is how it ends up on Hesgoal etc. The feed on QosTV was very good. That's some contrast from earlier in the season!
  4. This would be a massive three points, QoS look absolutely rancid but I think that's also down to how we've played, not given them a chance to get anything going. Liking Dorrans a wee bit higher up.
  5. Dan Pybus 😂 😂 😂 Fantastic, we've started really well.
  6. And it's fair ****ing come up trumps! There didn't seem to be much danger when the cross came in but that was a lovely directed header by Dorrans, very well done!
  7. Hard to get a grasp of this on the stream, but it could be a 4231 type formation? Looks like Dorrans is the most advanced of the centre mids
  8. We've had absolutely stinking weather at Palmerston a few times, and in turn the games are usually awful. Goal called off there for climbing at the back post, probably the correct decision I think.
  9. This is key, under RM we've had a chairman who has put in more effort, money and time than any chairman we'll have had before, and chances are will again. Despite that we still ended up with Grant, who again, I don't doubt for a single second worked tirelessly to try and achieve something. Hard work is the least that's expected in any line of work, sadly it doesn't always guarantee success, we need to have the right people in the right positions doing the right things, and that goes all the way from the the players selected on a Saturday to those running the club through the week, and everything in between. Obviously something hasn't been right for us to find ourselves in the position we were in.
  10. On the interview from Yogi, Gaspuitis not playing really exacerbated his home sickness. I don't think he deserved to get dropped at the time he did.
  11. Lawless in particular was a very good signing. Donaldson has pedigree but truthfully, would we have been better with Gaspuitis? Hard to say. A Pars fan who isn't happy with the club being bottom of the Championship isn't ridiculously hard to please. Agreed that January is a hard window, the increase in subs will only make it more difficult.
  12. Not strange at all, we've been guff for most of the season and I'm not particularly happy with the season, surely if I wanted Yogi to fail I'd be happy? It's an utterly ridiculous statement, no Pars fan is wanting Hughes to fail.
  13. Absolutely no Pars fan is desperate for Yogi to fail, what a ridiculously silly statement.
  14. Good that he's got himself sorted quickly, Airdrie are a right horrible bunch. I've got my wires crossed there, I was meaning in the instance that if you reasonably trust the source, it's worth listening to, not someone you've never read anything from on twitter etc. The opinion on whether a player is good enough for us is always fluid while they're here, a change in formation, style or manager can make a massive difference, even at the weekend Pybus for example seemed far more comfortable in the second half shape compared to the first half. In the past we had Bell and Burke go from jobbers outwide, to sexy, sexy ballers in the middle. It doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things either way, whether I think they're good enough or not, whether I think they're a good signing or not they'll still get the support because they're playing for the Pars, I just don't think Chalmers is what we need.
  15. Honestly, the games at Palmerston are usually awful, and for whatever reason that along with Gayfield seems to attract some honking conditions. Draw isn't the worst, can't lose. It is however a great day out, Dumfries is a lovely toon.
  16. Rico Quitongo? Airdrie, just released.
  17. So I trust you've never given an opinion on a new signing then? Going by how much Hughes battered on about his left foot, it seems to certainly be a bit of the reason. I quite simply don't trust the vast majority of stuff written on twitter, you have absolutely no idea who's writing it or what there knowledge base is. The guy you've quoted there could be a footballing genius, or most likely is a bumbling idiot. Twitter and Facebook is to be avoided when it comes to takes on football. On PnB you at least have a rough knowledge of opposition posters and what they post, you can also search a players name and see what the fans opinion was of him throughout his tenure, getting hot takes on players when they've signed from an opposition fan is usually hyperbolic in one sense. Chalmers hasn't impressed Ayr fans throughout his whole tenure though, if you're teniously going to stick with one tweet then it's you picking and choosing bits to suit your argument, not me. You also have the bit where we have played against Chalmers quite a bit through our time in this division. We have fans going the other way and calling it a good signing despite having never seen him play or have any recollection of him, it goes both ways.
  18. Thistle fans were very complimentary about Lawless, as were Livi fans. Motherwell fans weren't keen but that could be tempered with that he was moving down a level and he had an acrimonious split with the Well. Coll Donaldson had done well at this level a couple of seasons back and got a move upto the Premiership of the back of it. Chalmers doesn't have that credit in the bank anywhere, Inverness fans weren't ***ed about him going, he then didn't do well at Ayr(and that's including under Kerr who favoured a possession based football). We seemed to have signed him because he has a left foot. It's not outwith the realms of possibility that he does well but it doesn't seem very likely. I hope he does and I'll be at EEP with the hope that he puts in great performances, but likewise I don't see the point in burying my head in the sand and pretending that it's a good signing on the face of it. We were playing that 523 with three strikers though, I could be wrong but did we not have Dom in the midfield two? Not his game, I don't think he wasn't putting in effort though, it was Grant that said that.
  19. Going by the interview it just doesn't seem like Ambrose, his mentioning of bringing someone up makes it sound like they're coming from down south.
  20. It is, and it was also obvious that their position and style of play wasn't the point made in that post.
  21. It was Grant that said Thomas didn't have the required work ethic for centre mid, AFAIK it was pointed out by Pars fans everywhere that Dom Thomas wasn't a centre mid. Dom has at various points in his career been a very, very, very good winger at this level. That's not comparable to Joe Chalmers.
  22. Could be wrong matey but I don't think there's much to say that Ambrose has a dodgy attitude? More that he might be a bit physically spent.
  23. Based on Ayr fans having watched him play over the past two seasons? I have seen him play yes. 🤷‍♂️ There were negative comments about the Grant appointment, and his summer buisness, was that the reason it failed? No, it failed because it was bad. If you're going to shut your eyes and just clap along at whatever it makes any opinion pointless. We've signed a player, from what I've seen of him, and from what the fans of his other clubs say it doesn't seem like a very good signing, it's really not that deep.
  24. Ayr fans throughout his time there. 🤷‍♂️ No point ever passing comment on a signing then really. Going on the majority plus what I've seen, I don't think he was very good for Ayr.
  25. If we're being honest, there's not allot to suggest that'll be a good signing.
