  1. I have no idea why Thistle are playing Ross Stewart but I'm glad, he's ganting.
  2. Don't see how any blame can be proportioned to Mehmet there tbh. Blame lies firmly with Hamilton, brainless defending. We've scored, that's nice.
  3. We're absolutely ganting. A poor side that looks poorly coached, you'd need some powers of persuasion to convince me this is the best this team can do.
  4. Hanging on here. We don't look fluid or threatening at all from open play, we have absolutely no idea how to progress the ball.
  5. I don't really see it tbh. Aye I'm the same. We actually seem quite well covered at RB/RWB (unless Comrie has picked up an injury?) and we looked better with four at the back on Saturday. The signing of Ashcroft in that regard made perfect sense. To go from Ashcroft to this player is a bit confusing tbh, they don't seem similar? If you go on transfermarket it'll give you a breakdown of how much he's played in each respective position.
  6. I think it looks more like Benjamin was the panic signing tbh.
  7. But have our fortunes changed that dramatically? When we were last in fourth (end of the 2-2 draw with Ayr) we had 23 points after 18 games, that is not a good points total(I checked back to season 13/14 and it was the lowest points total for fourth place by a decent amount) and we were only five points off bottom. Now, we're six points off bottom, that's actually pretty consistent. With our points PPG going from 1.28 to 1.09, it really isn't that wild a swing. I think viewing us as a team in 4th place needs to be viewed with the caveat that if we had reached 4th come the season end, with that PPG, we would've been the worst team to reach the playoffs since they were introduced.
  8. And now we're 8 points away from fourth, are closer to bottom than the promotion playoffs, we are currently in the relegation playoffs, haven't won in nine, and since drawing with Dundee United we have gained one point, conceding 9 goals in the process over three games at East End Park, despite playing what was the bottom two. We are 9th, where we were at half time against Ayr doesn't matter. It is the situation we find ourselves in now, and the future that's important. We also drew that game with Ayr after being 2-0 up and comfortable so lord knows why anyone wants to hark back to that.
  9. If you think it's bad this year, I'm almost dreading staying up if Raith stay down. You'll have them and Falkirk having a ding dong for the title while we talk about consolidation and a 10/7 year plan or whatever. If there is a supporters meeting, one thing I'd be interested in asking is how we're going to market next season to try and sell season tickets. Every Pars fan I speak to like yerself, is just absolutely scunnered (Great word eh?). Currently our home form this season is abysmal, even SNW has been getting emptier the past few games and if we have another transfer window where we don't find the balance between prospects, and experience I don't see that changing for next season. We need something to actually make us beleive that this regime has what it takes to get us out the Championship at the top end, rather than having us flirt with relegation. There is actually some good things happening at EEP, there's a few events ongoing(Wife is going to some bingo even on Friday night?) to use the space which will hopefully bring in extra coin, that's good and points to one part of the buisness being run well. But the actual footballing side? Christ it's just a bit grim eh.
  10. Has one been forecasted? It feels like a while since the last one, even longer since the smaller ones with fan representatives.
  11. Aye that post is a badly timed, load of pish. If members of the board fancy a jolly over to Hamburg to meet up with with Meggle then carry on, but don't try and dress it up as "Research", and christ, probably best not to publish it happened on the weekend where we've went 9 games without a win, in the midst of another ****e transfer window. We are not a serious football team, posts like that just make it look like there's a massive disconnect between those running the club, and those who are unfortunate enough to see us play on the weekend.
  12. My biggest worry is that currently Raith are, however they were landing targets above us in the summer aswell when they'd just finished seventh in the Championship and we were coming off a title. Missed it, what's that? It won't make a difference, we agreed a deal with Dundee, unless we offer them a large fee to make them reject Raiths offer, but where's that money coming from?
  13. It's yet another player that we've targeted though that we've failed to close out the deal. We seem utterly awful at closing out deals. We're not getting an experienced defender are we?
  14. Can't say the board didn't back McPake, they agreed the terms with Dundee, he just simply didn't want to join us.
  15. To then play the same system against QP was beyond frustrating.
  16. He'll be earning far more without the stresses of first team management doing the youths.
  17. Aye, the injuries have been a shocker but it taking so long to change the system is a shambles. He hasn't managed the players he has available very well. Even on Saturday, McCann was absolutely burst, surely Moffat should've been on? Aye? I'd be very happy with Courts or Bowyer, I'd be intrigued by Young. Less keen on Thompson right enough but it's not an awful shout.
  18. We have a new director https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/SC011580/filing-history Mr Ian Ross Laing from Lombardi associates. https://lombardi-football.com/about/ Can't say I've heard of them before, but on there website it says this about him. "recent work has involved advising both clubs and investors on investment into football clubs and advising start ups looking to enter the football space"
  19. I know Michael Wood, good guy and is usually spot on with his info. Here's hoping Ashcroft comes over.
  20. Aye, but it doesn't bode well if your gaffer is just throwing the towel in as soon as we go behind. It doesn't matter if he's more cheerful during training if the situation has gotten to him to the extent that going 1-0 down to the team second bottom in the table at home. We weren't well beaten at that time but looking at the dugout and our lack of reaction you'd think it was game over. McPake done fantastic last season, and was doing well enough earlier in the season, but much like players can lose form it almost looks like McPake could do with some time away. If only we could bring a manager in on loan for a wee bit!
  21. My only concern GG is the state of McPake, the last couple of weeks he's looked utterly done in the sideline when we've conceded. Gone seems to be last seasons McPake who was changing tactics and mixing it up when things weren't going well. Is there anyone out there as good as McPake from last season? No. Not even close, however I do wonder how much the injury crisis has jaded him.
  22. I think the key is appointing the correct replacement. We got exactly what I expected when we appointed Hughes. I reckon QP are a bit better of with Davidson at the helm than the chancer before him.
  23. Even if it is, is that a bad thing? From our attendances and commercial endeavours we should have more than enough money for transfers and wages to have a side challenging for the top of the championship. If the Germans are then investing in the infrastructure is that a bad thing?
