Vinnie
So you would still pay some money in, that will continue to be wasted, and have the EU potentially consider the UK to be holding them to ransom?

Vinnie
Question then becomes, who do you replace her with? Corbyn is not PM material. Hes anti-semitic, alledgedly, and hes now been caught making derogatory remarks. Hes also had several opportunities to stick the knife into May, declare no confidence in Parliament and trigger an Election, but hes passed that up. Maybe he doesnt think he'll win, maybe he doesnt want to lead us through the Brexit transition? Maybe hes trying protect is own reputation? The Tory no-confidence vote could have been successful had somebody raised their head from the sand and said that they would take the role on. Nobody did, so an unopposed May won almost by default. SanguinePar
Well, after disgracefully delaying a vote she knew she was going to lose heavily, wasting 5 precious weeks achieving nothing, and finally holding the vote, May has lost heavily. Heaviest government defeat ever, with next worst one being back in 1924. Will she win the vote of confidence today? Probably, although is it possible that 5 or 6 Tories might vote to end this shambles? I wonder if that poor woman will have to be wheeled though the lobby again ahead of having her cesarean section, since it's apparently beyond possibility to allow a proxy vote and no-one trusts the Tories to stick to any pairing agreement. And after today and her latest inexplicable fingertip-scraping avoidance of the inevitable, what will May do? Apparently she's going to listen to parliament now. Only took her two and a half years. the saline hill puma
Its time for the SNP to start moving on a 2nd independence referendum so we can leave this shambles of a union.
