Organised hooliganism at the fitba!

So the Polis are proclaiming that 28 of 42 fitba clubs in Scotland have a element of organised hooliganism at matches these days. They are saying that largely matches are trouble free because "casual" get togethers happen away from the grounds either before or afterwards. On the BBC news they cited that there has been trouble between Ayr and Airdrie in our league. Personally I think this is a bygone thing that doesn't affect our club, but obviously the Polis have prevented some away fans accessing Charlie D's to there must be some intelligence. Personally I do have the feeling that the Polis to seek to demonise fitba fans because it fits their agenda. However apart from the usual west coast sectarianism which the Polis systematically have failed to tackle it think its the Polis overstating the case. Thoughts anyone? Do the Pars have hooligan element!

Dunfermline has never had a hooligan element.

We have passionate supporters who know where the line is. I personally prefer to let any aggression go that I have wrestling with my Spacehopper in the garage.

haha, seriously though, Scottish supporters are just loveable rogues, I mean look at the Tartan Army

It's pretty clear this is a carefully timed statement only to increase public opinion and put pressure on the authorities to give them their top wish list item of face recognition at the games which they have asked for recently, ab. It also ties in perfectly with many clubs trying to get police free games and much of the time the clubs winning the argument and giving clear risk mitigating factors to the police to prove they don't need police at games.

They already have a massive database, cctv, pretty advanced police intelligence, a law that gives them license to arrest someone if a policeman interprets something as possibly offensive without a complaint from anyone (which is pretty subjective) ility to give banning orders, turn up at peoples houses and ask where they are drinking before games.  Police escorts at games, following people at games and doing spot searches going by whatever make of jacket someones wearing, no booze even though England a country famous for hooliganism over the border seem the have pints at games. Crappy all seater football stadium thats not required up here mostly so we can sit down and shut our pusses. The list is endless

What more do they want?

This is nothing more than a money grab by the police and an attempt to demonise football fans.

Personally for me they can GTF
