Comparison between this season and seasons we won have won leagues

Only doing this for 95-96 and 10-11 because of the number of points awarded and games played in full league season were same as this season.

95-96

After 25 games 1st equal with Dundee United with 3 games in hand.

10-11

5 points behind Raith Rovers, equal number of games played

I said as much to my laddie today. It's some lead but we pulled the Rovers back and won by a similar total in 10/11, from closer to the end so we can't be complacent.

We have got a far better team than they had though and I think with AJ in place who knows what it takes to win this league, so I cant see a meltdown of similar proportions. 

So, agreed, it's ours to chuck now.

I honestly think it's in the bag despite Peterheads impressive run, and we're giving too much respect to teams below us.

Peterhead are on a 14 match unbeaten run yet we still sit top by 8 points with a game in hand.

Peterheads run will naturally meet an end at some point. 

Obviously, this isn't the message to send to our players but for us fans, we've been through a really hard time, lets just enjoy the run in and not worry about other teams.

Losing top spot this season isn't going to happen.

Let's not pretend the standard in this league isn't absolutely stinking. We have the best squad in this league by quite some distance and even if Peterhead remain unbeaten 'till the end of the season we should still come out on top.

Was talking about this at work last week. I'm a bit wary because i genuinely can't recall a league win when we've been so clear, so early. It's new territory. Probably hasn't always been the case, i was wee in 85/86 for instance but I'm more used to seeing us win from a tighter pack.
