I can't seem to find the statement, where is this? Either way, I (once again) despair of the club - tottering towards relegation, a big match at our local (and title challenging) rivals, and we start talking about true sportsmanship?! Highlights here. Absolutely no way Mehmet should be coming for that ball into the box for the second goal.

I'll need to watch it again. At the time my impression was that it was too far out for Mehmet to come and that it would have been risky for MWH to try and direct it back to the keeper. A clearance was the right choice I thought, although ideally not a clearance straight to an Airdrie player in the centre of the park.

Don't recall Mehmet doing much wrong other than a couple of poor kicks (and he certainly wasn't the only one from either team, the pitch looks in terrible condition). Nothing he could do about either goal IMO and he didn't look dodgy anywhere.

Played well enough first half, Welch-Hayes unlucky not to score I thought, bit unlucky to be 1-0 down at halftime. Not too bad in second half until the second goal (some strike that) and then utter p*sh after that. I've missed a few games this season for various reasons, and it's now 164 days since I witnessed a Pars win. Looking at our next few fixtures you can probably add another 30 days or so to that right now.

That's a blow, was looking forward to seeing Kane, having missed the Ayr game. Fingers crossed Jak'n'Mac can get the job done.

I said the same to a mate a few weeks back. In fact I hope we lose all 4 league games against them, finish 30 points behind them and then knock them out of the playoffs :-)

Yeah, that was my thought too. The only weird thing there IMO is mentioning it. Seems a reasonable approach to have taken though in planning. I also don't think they're suggesting it is the main reason behind losing a million pounds. However, the scenario in the planning would likely have made a reasonably big difference, all other things being equal. The daft thing was saying so - it makes it look like an excuse for the wider losses, and that doesn't wash. I don't know much about accounts, so I'm not going to leap to any conclusions about the figures, not least because there doesn't seem to be much detail. My layman's view is that if the training academy work/costs represents most of the million, then it can probably be seen as an investment in the future (as long as it is completed, is effective and doesn't just keep having big negative impacts every year for a long time). If the training ground does not represent most of the million loss, then that's more concerning I think. I'm not defending the figures, losing a million is never good. And I've certainly got plenty of issues with various aspects of the way the club has been run in the last few years. But I'm not going to panic and assume the worst either. In short (too late) we need more detail.

Just watching the highlights there and was impressed by Jakubiak, had two or three really good moments - although I wish he would just finish one of those chances! Looked good though, which is encouraging as I've not been all that convinced by him so far. McCann did great for the opener and I thought Edwards did well to keep it on target, it looked a kind of awkward one to hit.

Heard you were screaming for that Airdrie penalty at the end ;-)
