Can't understand that statement either. Even if we had finished in the playoffs we couldn't have been guaranteed 2 home games. Who's to say we wouldn't have been knocked out in the semi final and not made the final.

Interesting article in today's Edinburgh Evening News regarding Connor Smith. "He has returned to Hearts from Scunthorpe following a loan spell, with the National League side frustrated that they are not allowed to keep him. A transfer embargo prevents them for renewing Smith's loan agreement or signing him permanently and the midfielder is now back in Edinburgh". 6 goals in 12 starts at Scunthorpe. Wonder if we are maybe in for him

McPake has to shoulder a lot of the blame here. Dishing out ridiculous 2/3 year deals in the summer to players that couldn't cut it last time in the championship, and helped get us relegated. Tonight we were very poor. Yes we've been ravaged by injuries, but we had more than enough experience in our team to be doing much better against a Queen's Park team full of inexperienced teenagers, but our experienced players were all anonymous again. Also, why do we only ever start to show a bit of urgency in games when we go behind. It's all very frustrating

Just looked online, and it appears that FC Edinburgh are no longer offering concession tickets. I got one for our game earlier this season, so can't understand why they've stopped it. Not a very appealing prospect to be standing uncovered in January up to your ankles in mud. Just got to hope it's not raining. Think I'll wait until next Friday to get the weather forecast, before deciding whether or not to buy a ticket.

Does anyone know what players are out of contract at the end of the season? I would imagine there will probably be quite a few players leaving, and Mcpake can finally bring in his own players.

It does beg the question why did McPake start him in a competitive game on Saturday, if he has dodgy knees, and not fit.

Just listened to his interview after today's game, and he sounded very frustrated at not being able to get players in. Wonder if he is not getting the financial support he expected from the board when he took the job.

Really disappointed that Lewis hasn't been involved again since coming back from injury for a couple of games, a few months ago. Noticed that he hasn't even been on the bench recently. Does anyone know it's his old injury that's come back again. The poor guy has had a terrible time with this injury over the past few years, and I think the club have looked after him pretty well over the past few years. One of my favourite Pars players, but sadly, I can't see him getting another deal beyond the end of the season.

I really like Coll's attitude. If we somehow manage to stay up, I would like us to try and sign him permanently, and make him captain

No confidence in Yogi at all. Some of his signings have been really poor, particularly Chalmers and Polwarth. How he thought they could improve the team is beyond me. Dreadful signings

Really disappointed in Yogi since he came in, and not impressed with some of his signings, the utter rubbish on the park, and the total crap that he spouts in his post match interviews. Don't think I could stand watching us next season under him, and I want him gone at the end of the season regardless of what league we finish up in, and hopefully our board have had the sense to put a relegation clause in his contract. Today's performance was totally shocking and we couldn't even beat the first man from 2 corners that we had in quick succession in the second half. Something far wrong when a club of our size and potential is floundering about at the bottom of the Championship, and hopefully big changes will be made if we manage to finish 8th and retain our Championship status. However, I have a feeling that it's going to be the play offs for us, which could end up proving to be a step to far, especially if we manage to get to the final, and have to face Aidrie.

Although I didn't expect us to beat Killie, I though that the team would get a lift from the Raith result, and go into this game with all guns blazing. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement to say the least. Do our players not realise the importance of staying in this league, or do they simply not care. We never had control of that game at any stage, and that result would have been really embarrassing today, had it not been for our keeper, making a number of superb saves. I've seen it mentioned that our players were maybe feeling the effect of the effort that they put into the Raith game. If that was the case, then it begs the question, why did Yogi not rest a few players, and start the game with a few fresh faces. I think a number of our supporters were getting a bit carried away after the Raith game, taking about us finishing in 8th position. As things stand that's still possible of course,, but after today, I'm more concerned about hanging on to 9th position, as it's not impossible for QoS to now catch and overtake us. If we do finish 9th however, I wouldn't be confident about us retaining our Championship status, we have far too many losers in our squad that need emptied at the end of the season

Just wondered what other supporters thought of Yogi's performance so far, since taking over. There's no doubt he inherited a poor squad of players and had a difficult window in January to sort out the mess. Although he has managed to bring in one or two decent players and sort out our defensive issues, I am very disappointed that our league position hasn't improved much. Although results have improved slightly, his insistence on playing only one up front with no creativity week after week is terrible to watch, and it looks like it's going to cost us dear, if he continues with the current formation. Although he was given an 18 month deal I wonder if our board had the sense to put a relegation clause into his contract. If not, and the worst happens, is he the right person to rebuild our squad in the summer, with a view to getting us back up to the championship the following season? From what I've witnessed since he came in, I'm not convinced.

Don't know if either of you listened to Dick Campbell's podcast interview, but in it he mentions that he hates the idea of playing only one up front, and he wouldn't do it, more or less saying that it's just not the way to play the game. Agree with the above comments, we need to start going out to win games from the start and be far more adventurous up front if we're to get out of this mess. Playing McCann up front on his own in a toothless attack just isn't working, and if Yogi continues with this formation I think we'll continue to struggle to win any games. I think I'm correct in saying that the last time a forward scored for us, it was McCann, way back in early December. That says it all really.

Still think Craig Levein would be a good choice to steady the ship. Loads of experience and currently available, but for some reason his name is not being suggested on any of the fans forums. I did read somewhere that he doesn't like us, but not sure whether or not that's true or not.
