Morton being without Oskansen will be good, he's one of there better players from the first half of the season.

Fully agree that he'd be part of the negotiations, however like you say Brexit has impacted Meggles influence with regards to the actual identifying of our targets no? Chicken and the egg, did Vytas want to leave because of game time, or did he lack gametime because he asked to leave? Either way I'm not disputing that Connolly is in our top 2/3 centre backs (we had Leon Jones and Graham though eh?) I just don't think he'll be that big and miss, and in all likelihood with Dundee United wanting us to take on more of his wages it is what it is. It's a shame Watson had such an atrocious attitude. Breen has potential, he could be very good at this level, and indeed he was good at this level with QoTS.

Aye? I'd say he had an influence at the end of Grant's tenure, however the start was very much a Grant team, and one that was warned about when Grant took over. Likewise the way we're playing just now is very much how I remember Yogi Hughes with Livingston. You could argue that Vytas was our best one this season and Hughes wasn't long in bombing him out. Plenty of examples through football where managers didn't excel in there area of playing expertise. Do you reckon he's in charge of transfers though? None of our recent buisness would suggest so.

Have you seen some of our defending? Criminal! Peter Grant surely? AFAIK we don't have a DoF or head of recruitment that oversees transfers*, and quite rightly the board aren't going to step on the managers toes providing it's within budget. *I wish we did though!

It's a damming indictment that he's apparently our best defender, his marking and positional play leave allot to be desired. Defence didn't get any better with him in the team instead of Watson. Shouted allot and looked angry which seemed to help persuade our fans that he was showing passion, and his mistakes were then swiftly glossed over. We seemed to have had a carousel of centre backs this season, and I honestly wouldn't say I've noticed Connelly looking much better than the average, cheerio.

If Cole leaves it won't be for hee haw, he'll quite rightly be after a severance fee. Unless it's a loan returning, or a player being sold(Wighton) its unlikely any player who leaves during this window will get the same wage, as such they'll want that wage re imbursed in some measure by us. 8 players out doesn't equate to 8 in, unless the players coming in cost less, or we've had an increase in budget. And considering season ticket sales, sacking a manager and covid, how would we have an increase in budget?

Kilmarnock are a far better proposition to manage than us, they've been in the Premier league every season for the last 20 seasons, bar this one. We've been in one season since 2008? I'm not sold on the Hughes appointment but we weren't in any danger of being attractive to McInnes.

And about ToB? They certainly didn't come across as a laugh. Comrie, Edwards or OFW. Dorrans as our deepest lying midfielder does an awful job of screening the defence, his attempts at blocking the second goal, along with Connolly were pathetic. Both done a brilliant job of making themselves smaller. Absolutely baffled when we're shipping 3 goals a game and creating nothing that we're giving it to our captain in centre mid.

The motm shout and the talk of signing ToB and Noble were odd.
