  1. Think McKay stated last week that they still looking to bring in another defender and striker before the end of the window.
  2. Looks like he's on his way to Inverness anyway. Personally think he's better than Comrie. I watch Dundee 3-4 times a season due my wife being a Dundee supporter, so seen him quite a bit. He's taller and stronger than Comrie. I think he has the attributes to play RCB but never seen him play there as Dundee have played 4 at the back most times I've seen them . They are playing a back 3 at the moment but Kerr is out the picture.
  3. I would take both. Kerr could be good competition for Comrie playing right back or right of a back three. Rudden would give us something different up front too. McPake rates him. I could see us going for both.
  4. Healthy to have a platform to question the actions of the people running the club. Masterton and co got away with neglect for over a decade with nobody questioning the hideous over spending and false excuses of how we were covering our debts. Hope everything is OK.
  5. Wouldn't think so. Not historically been a career threatening type of injury. Confident he will be fine with a pre-season behind him.
  6. Greg Stewart signed for Kilmarnock.
  7. Would be disappointmenting this was our attempts to strengthen our squad. A 36 year old winger that's no kicked a ball since last season. I fine this hard to believe.
  8. Think he signed a new deal with Celtic just before he came to us.
  9. Dundee and Aberdeen after Greg Stewart and St Johnstone after Connor Smith according to The Courier. Rudden might be a shout for us though.
  10. The club have already made it clear that we will sign players. Genuinely think we will be OK in terms of relegation. Would've been a bit more worried if we weren't attempting to sign more players.
  11. I've seen Sam Young twice. Very comfortable on the ball. Plenty of raw talent there. Obviously needs to fill out being 17. I think he has a good chance of making at Pars from small amount of game time I've seen him in.
  12. Gives the walking wounded another week of recovery and the chance to get a couple more new faces before the next game. Good outcome for us.
  13. I'll gladly accept a call off to be honest. Yeah, we have a new signing but we're massively under strength still.
  14. I get what parsforlife is saying. Disgraceful that we were rattling around the third tier again but that 2-0 win over Falkirk was in my top ten nights as a Pars fan. It does have it's good times when we swim in a wee pond. I remember thinking the second tier was the small pond back in the 90's/00s. How expectations have dropped.
  15. Don't think we can with Comrie,Breen,Fisher and Bene all out. At best we will have hopefully the new signing, Hamilton and Otoo as a back three with O'Halloran and Edwards in the wing back areas.
  16. Dunfermline are set to sign Malachi Fagan-Walcott on loan from Cardiff City. The former Spurs defender is understood to have travelled north to complete the formalities of his move from the English Championship club. The 21-year-old, who spent a short spell on loan at Dundee, is expected to go straight into the Pars team to face Airdrie this weekend as manager James McPake copes with a defensive crisis. The Fifers boss has been desperately seeking reinforcements after being hit with a worsening injury list. Malachi Fagan-Walcott (right) made his debut for Dundee against Raith Rovers in January 2021. Image: Paul Devlin / SNS Group. Skipper Kyle Benedictus, Rhys Breen and Aaron Comrie are all sidelined for a minimum of the next four weeks. And Sam Fisher is still recovering from the concussion – his second in the space of a fortnight – and facial wounds he sustained in the Fife derby defeat to Raith Rovers. McPake has now turned to a well-known face, having also signed Fagan-Walcott on loan for Dundee in January 2021. The former England youth internationalist made two appearances for the Dark Blues but his loan was cut short due to injury. ‘Work on others’ A hamstring problem resulted in him returning to Spurs, where he had made his debut in a Champions League round of 16 loss to RB Leipzig in March 2020. It is expected the agreement will be finalised on Friday, with Fagan-Walcott due to train with his new team-mates ahead of Saturday’s match. There is the outside chance a second fresh face could also arrive in time for the game. McPake said: “We’ll hopefully have one in for the weekend. Dunfermline’s Sam Fisher picked up a nasty facial injury against Raith Rovers. Image: SNS. “One should get us through Saturday! And then we’ll work on others. “But we should definitely have one in our squad for Saturday. “It will be a loan deal and it’s one we were looking at for this summer as well. “I know it looks like there’s still no signings in, and stuff like that. ‘Improve the DAFC squad’ “But hopefully this one will be the first one. “We’ve had good conversations with the board in Germany and with David [Cook, CEO]. David’s working all hours as well, we’re all doing that. “The aim’s still the same, we need to improve the squad. “We’re looking to get this one in and then looking to see what more we can do.” Lewis McCann has been missed in attack by Dunfermline. Image: Craig Brown / DAFC. Amidst a nightmare season of repeated injury blows, Dunfermline are set to miss seven first-choice players for this weekend and beyond. As well as the defensive quartet already mentioned, the Pars also have Alex Jakubiak, Matty Todd and Kane Ritchie-Hosler currently unavailable. However, there has at least been some good news for McPake on the injury front this week. Lewis McCann has been sidelined since pulling up with a hamstring problem in the 1-1 draw with Arbroath on December 23. And Ewan Otoo also sat out the meetings with Ayr United and Queen’s Park in recent weeks as he battles a minor injury. ‘Massive bonus’ However, barring any late setbacks, both will be in the squad to face Airdrie. McPake added: “The two that missed out on Friday, who are now available for us, are Lewis McCann and Ewan Otoo.

  18. I know that's what the board have always said but to play devil's advocate I'm questioning if we could've got the team into a better league position before investing in pretty major infrastructre projects that will carry fairly hefty outlay and running costs annually too whilst in the lower leagues. My worry is that we are putting money into this project whilst the team continues to get nowhere near the Premiership. Hope it all works out and we are producing youth to sell on to cover costs annually but there's no guarentees that will happen.
  19. Just hope the training ground/academy is worth the investment. Not many clubs with better facilities than we are going to have are churning out a production line of quality young players. It's ambitious but I can't help thinking investment in the first team and getting to the Premiership with the TV money would be an easier and quicker way of building the club and then look at academy/training ground etc as a top division side.
  20. These twitter transfer rumour sites just throw as much syte at a wall and hope that some sticks. Totally unreliable.
  21. Yep. I'm now questioning what the hell is going on with the conditioning of players and our training. This is not normal.
  22. Looked like Comrie was a calf muscle. Went for a pee when Jakubiak got injured. What kind of injury did that look like? Does seem a lot of muscle pulls or strains now.
  23. Now a relegation fight. Can't believe how things are panning out. I can't be too critical with what's happening to us. Genuinely think with a full team we would be nowhere near this.
  24. Give up man. We are cursed. What the hell is going on. Two of our few fit players now injured? On top of the horrific injury list. Even Summers is injured but still playing. We would've beaten this team easily with a full squad.
  25. I'll be going easy on the guys if we get beat tonight. Never seen anything like it. Apart from when we lost all our players due to admin.
