As a manager of a team of 18 guys, I know how difficult is it to keep a full group onside. I started off with the pally boss approach and ended up with 3-4 taking advantage of me, after I gave them a bit of freedom to carry out their role without micro-managing. Then when I have tried to regain authority you start getting a revolt from another 3-4 guys. The majority are a joy to work with but you always get that 20% that have to make life difficult. Keeping your staff all on board and getting the desired results is a big task. I think the big part for me is recruiting the right people. If you can weed out the trouble makers at the start then it makes your job a lot easier creating an harmonious group.

Looks like we have clicked the last few weeks. Tough game though. They had a stinking result last week. Going for Pars win though. We just look too strong at the moment.

I predicted a defeat last Saturday, so going to be a bit more optimistic this week and predict a Pars win by a one goal margin. Don't think it's going to be pretty though.

Wighton isn't a chase lost causes type forward like Declan McManus or Kevin O'Hara, which is why I think he gets so much stick but he's a far better footballer than either of those two. He mindset is more about how he can create an opening or bring somebody into play because he has confidence in his touch and ability rather than using his energy snapping at defenders feet for 90 minutes.

Out of contract in the summer. It was only a two year deal.

Predicted a defeat earlier in this thread. Delighted I was wrong. Wasn't at the game but it sounds like we were dominant. Really good sign that we can do that with so many good players out. I was worried about defence but Hamilton and Otoo seem to be very capable stepping in there.

Experienced centre back to cover Bene for me. We look lacking experience and leadership in there.

With Breen and Bene out injured it kind of means Hamilton and Otoo playing with Fisher at the back. You could put Comrie in there in the RCB role but not sure who takes right wing back in his place with KRH out. Allan would come into midfield beside Chalmers if Otoo and Hamilton are at the back. It all very makeshift at the back and and inexperienced. I would like to see us bring in an experienced centre back on loan til January if possible. Wighton should be back and Jakubiak now an option so that's a positive. Moffat, O'Halloran and McCann available as wide options. Summers as the attack midfielder or Andy Tod, so options going forward are OK. All fine filling positions to cover injured players but are the good enough in these positions at this level? Hope so, but really disappointing to be hit with so many injuries to key players. Just feels like we canny get a break this season. Hope we had the worst of it at the start and can get a more settled team in a few months. Think we will get beat on Saturday in all honesty.

What concerned you Grant? Kelty Par thought we should've won based on last 30 mins. No being a dick but just interested in your opinion.

He's not going to play ahead of KRH instantly. McCann is on the other side, so he's not going to walk into the first eleven. As I said, he's competition for others who currently hold the starting 11 shirts. He also not an ''emergency'' loan.

Obviously something that suits where Stevie is in life but I think he should be working in higher levels of the game than Rosyth. Certainly had an eye for a player when he was with us.

McPake stated in his Thursday interview that KRH is in the squad for tomorrow. I think he's ready to go as of now. Owen will give us an option to cover injury and give KRH a bit of competition.

All comes down to money at domestic level. Scottish leagues have very little money compared to bigger leagues. TV and sponsorship has destroyed Scottish teams chances of competing in europe

My wife is a Dundee season ticket holder and rates Jakubiak. Said Dundee's form improved when he and Robinson played as a front two. Does think he's more of a hold up the ball hard working type than a goalscorer/poacher type striker though. We don't play two up front and I did think we needed somebody who more of a penalty box striker and has a knack of being in the right place. Would take Jakubiak though.

We can bring in loans and free agents until the end of September and that's the market we will be operating in anyway. Nothings going to happen anytime soon. We need an alternative option to Wighton and maybe a midfielder but that will be it.

Personally would leave Breen out, keep Otoo in the back three. Chalmers and Hamilton deeper midfield. I would bring Summers into the AM spot.

Highly rated at Hamilton despite relegation last season. I could see Queens Park making a move for him. He's been on loan there before and QP like throwing cash about like confetti.

If he's a nice guy then that's lovely to hear. Just not anything to do with my initial post. I think the same issues you say didn't help Grant can be aimed at Yogi too. He inherited the same coaching staff and on top of that, the crap that Grant brought in. I find there is a narritve being created here where Grant was a bit unlucky and Yogi was just ****e. I think there both utter ****e. Good/Bad or what ever their personality.

My response was directed at the inexperienced coaching team not helping him and signings not working. Generally poor management decisions I would say. That why I said ''letting im off the hook''. I found those comments to be excuses for him. My post is nothing to do with the nice guy conversation. Never met the guy so can't claim to be in the know about that. Some of his arrogant comments in the press do seem to go against that though.
