Superally
Is a female, Jodie Whittaker (formally of Broadchurch). The geeks are seething. No bad thing IMO and probably over due. It might be interesting as the Dr's current traveling companion Pearl Mackie is openly gay and is a lesbian. I liked Capaldi as the last Dr but do feel the scripts could have been better. Vinnie
New writer was a main writer/producer for Broadchurch so it seems a natural progression in casting Jodie Whittaker. Im not sure why the Who geeks types would be seething about this? Surely the whole regeneration thing means that the Doctor can be man or women, black or white? Part of the beauty of it being a lass is they can adapt the storylines to fit a heroine?
