The Roy Barry Fan Club
I thought it was interesting how BBC Scotland chose to prioritise today's football news. On the one hand, ALL Scottish football below the level of the Championship was paused for at least three weeks, not to mention the Scottish Cup. On the other hand, Celtic have to play a fixture with 13 people missing from their first team squad The Celtic situation not only grabbed the headline -- but also a 'real time' blog throughout the afternoon. This is supposed to be our national broadcaster. Clearly 100 (my rough estimate of the teams whose football has been paused) wee teams don't equal half of the Old Firm. 😞

GG Riva
While Celtic did not break any rules as they stood by going, senior figures at Parkhead showed a lack of sensitivity and empathy with the rest of the country. Just because they could go, doesn`t mean they should have. How much more classy would it have been for Peter Lawwell to have announced that Celtic had decided to cancel the trip in view of the spiralling numbers of positive Covid cases and as a gesture of solidarity with the population of Scotland.
