I wonder if Jones was picked purely to manage out Zanatta. Two of them will have known each other from Hearts so that could make sense. A good manager will get the balance right between form, opposition, conditions and pick the team accordingly. I don’t subscribe to the play same 11 if it’s working theory on every occasion.

It’s not though to me. I didn’t think it was the manager - surely not as hes just in the door. It came across much more ingrained and long term than that. If going to say something on social media that you know is going to garner interest, why not just call it out completely?

Heard from a friend who grew up with him, that Leon Jones has signed for us and will be announced imminently. 22 year old centre back, eligible for the Chinese national team. Sounds like he sees the Pars as an ideal springboard for professional football and to pursue his international career. Think it’s only a matter of Time before the majority start to switch. I have - and my commitment is to post more often to keep this place lively so more folk who come can see more content.

Everytime I saw him play at first i thought, what a great wee player, but fans of Inverness and Rovers weren’t that impressed by him. Still think he’d be a tremendous acquisition providing he doesn’t come in all Billy big baws.

I remember hearing at the time that 30% figure. The justification was the cash up front from Hibs was only accepted because of the significant sell on clause. As many say though we won’t know until a fee is captured, the old adage applies - “you can’t bank a percentage”. Regardless of size of percentage - likely it will be a huge sum of money for a club our size and I would urge the club to spend majority of it on infrastructure in the stadium, training academy and youth setup rather than on a bigger player budget that we can’t sustain beyond a couple of years.

We’ll probably sign Pybus for a start off. But definitely need a couple more in that area.

Agree to an extent, in that he’s coming to the peak of his powers I think. Maybe not fair to say about pulling wool over eyes 😂 he’s impressed many consistently over the last couple of seasons. If you look at the level that Dykes is at and who he plays for, I’d say Nisbet is there or thereabouts. He might surprise us all with another upward spike, but for now that would be brilliant money and what a win for us.

Agreed. We desperately need to see some incoming quality in midfield. We’re probably getting close to having the right balances in the other areas and can top up with a loan or two. Really hope we can pull off a marquee signing in the middle of the park.

Interestingly both signings so far non Scots. Ties in with what read about investors wanting more diversity in the squad. So little game time at 28 year old is a concern, but from what I saw when he did play he is an upgrade on OFW.
