  1. Your last paragraph, the guys said in their initial posts it wasn’t the finished article, they wanted to take feedback from those invited to shape the presentation. It’s all in Digs/Piracy’s notes.
  2. I highly suspect you’re going to be pursued by Stephens the bakers only selling vegan bridies at East End pal, you’re safe 😉
  3. FGR who nobody had heard of until the last couple of years and St Pauli who plenty of people have heard of maybe are correct examples of clubs either punching above their weight on the park, or reputation in a global sense. Also think it’s a stretch to try and compare the Bundesliga to the Scottish top flight. What I’ve interpreted it as is a philosophy that isn’t winning at all costs, it’s long term winning the right way with the right behaviours that makes it more of a club with positive ethos that grows as such. Not just short termism which can be easily replicated.
  4. It’s as you would expect from this group, absolutely about building a long term vision which then becomes self sustainable. A club that becomes an aspiration for players to join at that level rather than just another piddling barely full time club. But that’s probably what every other club in Scotland is trying to do, to be fair. I like we’re going to try and be a bit different. Will be interesting to see how it all goes.
  5. Of course it’s still too much at £25, but actually taking a moment here to say well done everyone for kicking up such a fuss about it. We’ve probably embarrassed them into making at least a bit of a backtrack. That shows you the potential power of the customer.
  6. Hi Drew will ping you a message.
  7. I managed to get match tickets (still waiting on club answering my email with some Q’s on season ticket I sent last Wednesday) for the NW for the first two games and I had exact same experience. Email confirmation and downloaded ticket so that’s all fine. Suspect another one of the glitches in the new site they’ll get round to fixing.
  8. Thanks Drew. That shows up two profiteering clubs who should be utterly ashamed of themselves. Raith Rovers and Dundee United.
  9. Agreed. Wishful thinking maybe, but it would be even better if the club was to make some sort of statement or make more direct contact/campaign on fans behalf about ticket prices for away games. Has anyone got to hand a club by club breakdown on away ticket prices in Championship this season? Surely that United pricing is by a clear distance the highest in the division. Absolutely appreciate Drew making contact with their SLO (thanks Drew) but being realistic, suspect that won’t change anything. Reading through that response from the United SLO is just exasperating.
  10. Appreciate that Digs, will be interesting to hear if they intend to do anything, I’m sure they’ll make the right noises in terms of condemning the prices of course.
  11. Well if we want to emulate St Pauli so much, what would they do about it? One of the things I found really exciting about the investment group was the chance to do something different to improve things for fans. This is such an opportunity.
  12. 😂 you’re such a ****. For that, see if it wasn’t for your co-host, frankly that podcast you have would be unlistenable. How do you like those apples? Back on topic, not sure the board have to wait to receive an email to realise that an opponent charging £27 in the current economic climate for away fans is taking the ****. Funnily enough it’s not just on this website that this has become an hot topic. For me, this is an opportunity for them to do something about it considering their varied inventive backgrounds and collective want for fan engagement. Surely they could think of something that puts down a bit of a marker.
  13. There really should be something that could be done to stop this utter profiteering from clubs. Dundee and Dundee United have been at this for years. It’s vile behaviour. This could be a good issue for our German investors to show some teeth on in terms of standing up for fans.
  14. 😂 So we can rule out you being the author then Digs? 😉
  15. Yeh I was saying so more in hope 😢
  16. Excellent result. Good to see the young ones coming in and contributing. Yea squad still light, as injuries showing this up, but McPake clearly has belief in the younger lads and we’re seeing them get some action. Heard Kris Doolan on the radio there with a good comment when asked about his 17 year old man of the match “if you can’t play your academy boys at this time of the season, when can you?”. Hope Matty’s injury more of a dead leg kinda thing than anything more sinister.
  17. Oh well. I’m not so sure that him and Watson are a suitable pairing against speedy players to be fair, but on face of it a decent signing for them.
  18. The boy has some serious strong attributes, and could go on to a much higher level. But there’s one thing that keeps coming up as a wee hurdle for him in my opinion - confidence/mentality. Sometimes he just seems to not believe in himself as much as he should. I personally think that’s potentially a result of not enough game time when he was younger, either because of injury or failure of several coaches to send him out on loan. I hope that this season an injury free consistent run of 20 games or so will really see him come alive. Got a lot of time for him as a player, his effort certainly isn’t in question at any time.
  19. It’s the one area we are fairly well covered, however I wouldn’t be that disappointed if he rocked up here..!
  20. Ah that’s exactly what it is. If you use Twitter there’s a glut of those wee tubes you need to block so you don’t see that utter pish.
  21. Got to give it full pelt at training. Train as you play as the old saying goes, or players just don’t hit condition needed on match day. Unfortunately that means potential for injury always present.
  22. I’m going to be back home for the new season, used to sit in the north west with a season ticket, hard to believe I’ll be lucky to get a match ticket in that stand. That’s just tremendous for the club and whets the appetite even more for the season coming, 3000 season tickets probably means a guaranteed average attendance of about 5000 for the year!
  23. Most of the north west is standing nowadays anyway! Club played a blinder in moving that section to the end. Most the folk there stand, no hassle, no cost. Changing the rake in the stand to put to terracing would cost a fortune, simply not needed. I hate the expression “safe standing” anyways, lot of nonsense. As with any stadia and crowd, standing/seating, it’s about how you manage it.
  24. I can’t wait to hear what the more traditional elements of our support think about our new brown St Pauli tribute 3rd kit 😉
  25. I really like the home and away efforts this season to be fair. Don’t mind the sponsor.
