Depends how you look at it. If we play 3 at the back then Benedictus, Breen, Fisher, Otoo, Comrie can all go into that as centre backs, but arguably Otoo and Comrie are more natural as full backs/wing backs. I’d argue we are now at capacity for defenders, plus a couple of midfielders and strikers, we’re almost ready….!

True stuff. I played as a goalkeeper growing up in the era of Jorge Campos style tops and decided to get one of the most incredibly bright and garish efforts available at the time. Lets just say it takes more than a garish top to be a decent keeper, and those tops don’t help when you’re having a bit of a mare 🫣

Bit surprised that the reaction isn’t more positive to be honest. Guy was tremendous last season, season before I think we can all agree a good part of that was the utter shambles in front of him (example - see Ross Grahams efforts in the last few weeks for United getting them relegated). Any keeper would have struggled with that. It seems to me that one advantage we are trying to retain, is consistency at the back, the lengths of these deals illustrate that. We’ve had a few seasons of almost full squad rotations and look where that has got us. Stability is so underrated.

Agree re Dundee and Alloa. Which teams to drop out of Championship? For me Hamilton and Cove please. As for premier league team, not sure who Id want most. St Johnstone might throw a pot of money at going straight back up. I accept though that could be said for Ross Co, Killie and Dundee Utd too.

I’d be interested to know how the response was to the call for volunteers a couple of months earlier. Did the response meet expectations, what kinds of roles were fulfilled and where is the club still looking for assistance?
