  1. It's pretty ****ing obvious who the next person will be if RM goes. For starters absolutely no other board member will want that job and who can blame them?
  2. Aye we probably have Digs. I need to take a portion of the blame. Since the admin years I have shut up and slipped away from things and allowed loud mouth idiots (including some of my own pals) to control the narrative. It's now at breaking point, and some home truths need to be out in the public domain. Im going to give it a week or so but all the stuff thats been happening should be out there.
  3. To say I am angry about the events of the last week is an understatement, To be clear this nothing to do with Grant or protests (he should be gone imo). In the next week or so I want certain things that have went on in the public domain in particular something that happened on Sunday and yesterday. Over the last few years I have kept my own council and respected people that have told me things in confidence however with the things that have been going on and the consequences that will probably happen because of it has put me in a very angry place.
  4. Gotta save on dishes ken, was finishing it.
  5. I won it twice around the start (one was the first 500 quid draw at the time) but havnt won it in years now. A mate or mine signed up for it at the start and never paid but was still in the draw and won 250 quid. Cheque delivered to his door. That's a few years ago now though
  6. Literally just drank milk out the carton ๐Ÿ˜ž
  7. Pretty much. Although he is a board member so could mention the amount of emails from fans at board meetings. You could write this off as a loud minority unless you managed to get loads of different people writing in.
  8. Absolutely no one is going to volunteer to take that task on๐Ÿ˜‚
  9. They should do a fundraiser for guessing the amount of emails in Drews inbox since the last game to the next, a good way to raise some cash. Is he **** going to be able to read them all on top of his day job(assuming he has one).
  10. It's the old inn bus. And I think it's ran to one away game so far(maybe a couple more) so it isn't exactly a regular bus that's been going for years that's stopped going. The Lizzie bus hasn't been going for years.
  11. Of course Petrie may take it if its his dream or something, he might be financially stable and desperate to do it
  12. Everyone was waiting for a statement from the board/owners to say one thing. People didnt get what they wanted so now it's meltdown. Its a matter of time for him though. The next meltdown will probably be the replacement, the popular choice seems to be Petrie but doing the sums in my head (I work in the same industry as him) and roughly knowing what our budget is he would probably be taking a decent paycut overall to take the job, and thats not just wages thats pensions, shares and profit shares and whatever other benifits he gets (and thats not including what he would be getting at montrose on top of his full time job). Its a difficult one because if you approach him and he is out of budget and you tell people that you will be accused of taking the cheap option and also saying the person appointed was second choice
  13. The Germans asked the guys to stay on, it was part of the reason they decided to invest in the club according to them. They liked the community ethos and the values of the club which the board have been trying to put into place (things like the community stuff I mentioned earlier) and the sort of club they were looking for to invest in. I think they also like the way the club has been run off the field.
  14. I wouldn't blame them if they did
  15. We would need to be making serious profit for that to happen given theres no assets to liquidate, Of course they could borrow and cream off the top (been done before). But i'm not sure we would be a viable option for any financial institution to give us any sort of lending.
  16. Today was the dreaded vote of confidence, Grant won't be there much longer as I can see him getting even 3 or 4 games. TBH it would make sense to do it now to during the international break but it is what it is. From my brief encounter with the Germans they seem like decent enough guys I don't think they are here to make money(maybe if we make a large transfer fee somewhere) I do think it's a bit of a project for them. However my fear is where we will be when the initial excitement dies away for the project and they realise what a nightmare running a provincial football club in Scotland's second tier with the hassle it entails. Scottish football has had it's fair share of charlatans and if the current people move on then I fear who will come in next. I'm also not sure why there's a feeling of disengagement. I think ours is just about the only Scottish club that has open meetings with the chairman since he has taken over and allowed an open forum for anyone to come along to get an update from the club, ask questions directly without being censored(we also had two recently with volunteers and fan groups with the investors), in addition before the games prior to covid there was two open bars to the public one with live music and one without for fans to come along to the club and socialise along with the disability group, the school engagement and marvs hub etc, they encourage people to come along. I also think we have an army of volunteers who work to keep the club going which shows commitment from people in the community for the love of the club from the board right down to the club shop there's allot off the field to be positive about(even though that positive stuff seems disregarded by people of forums and social media often enough. We also probably have the best off the field cost ratio of any full time club I would think due to that army of volunteers. In terms of the fans, the problem before the statement was toxicity of the situation, the statement was obviously suppose to calm that down and had the opposite effect. On the field is a problem though and thats probably the most important thing at any football club. and it needs sorted asap.
  17. https://bit.ly/2WHrEcu I don't think this is going to go down well
  18. Heard as well it might happen tonight
  19. If Todorov and Wighton were injured that would explain why they only had 45 mins each and why Todorov was off the pace
  20. In the first half we were all over the place. Absolutely no midfield. Twice both Edwards and Kennedy were being shut down by two players and none of our 3 central mids came across to give an easy pass to help them out. Dorrans was overan, pybus was mulling about too far forward and Cole who was suppose to be behind Todorov was either too deep(and not trying to collect the ball off the defence) or nowhere near Todorov to collect second balls. There were constantly areas of space in the centre of the park for rovers to enjoy possession.Dow was dug****e and Comrie was left exposed time and time again. Lastly Todorov at one stage was beaten in a foot race by Berra which sums up his performance. The second half pybus dropped deeper and we had more of a grounding to get on the ball. Wighton was linking better with Dow and along with the pace of O'Hara we started to trouble them more. We were so one paced in the first half it was good to see that noticed and changed by the management.I do think Rovers sat back to try and protect their slow CBs though when they should really have continued to play they did in the first half. They changed back after the equaliser and we struggled again, Dorrans injury didn't help. One thing I was baffled by, we decided to bring on Thomas and then move Dow in the centre of the park. I thought Dow and Wighton were causing real problems with their link up play on the right while Kennedy had be doubled up on and poor for the whole game. Maybe Pybus was injured? Also the rovers player should have been off for a second booking, but you can't rely on that sort of thing happening to win games of football. I was slagged off by a few mates a couple of weeks ago when I said Dorran hadn't been as bad as people made out overal in the season. I thought he(along with the CBs and goalie) kept us in the game at times last night especially first half when we were all over the place, no one could pass and were sliding all over the place. Another draw, on another day that wouldn't have been a bad result. But the fact we were dominated for the first half, and the last stages of the second, and now more difficult fixtures coming up I can't see us picking up enough points to save Grant.
  21. A guaranteed 25% isn't a way of stopping someone taking over 75% and therefore a controlling interest However, when the club came out of administration they did limit what partons(individual fans) could own so no one had a controlling interest and the PST would have the biggest shareholding out of everyone. That's no longer the case with the investors now having a controlling stake.
